Why do we struggle to sell out v rovrum

The BLUT is the reason I can take my youngest to the game ! He’s on the spectrum and as it not usually as full or loud he feels safe up there . He doesn’t cope well in other parts of the ground due to the noise and volume of people . Needless to say he isn’t going Saturday!!
As ever UTB !
It had never occurred to me that having quieter and emptier parts of the ground can be a real positive for some people - cheers for the insight.

I actually watched that team as a 10 year old kid, my first game was v Cardiff City on the kop with a 40 000 crowd , won 5 1, my dad was a pig and he took me to pigsborough aged 9 v Portsmouth 0 0 in front of just 11000 .check those facts if you can find em.but still why doesn't no one like the bl upper
45,000 packed into 3 sides, you couldn't even scratch your nose that night on the Kop it was that rammed.
Nobody took a 10 year old on the Kop for his first match on a school night.

I suspect Pukka Pie corner (don't know it's new name) is last to sell, due to restricted views and restricted access (same as family stand) not BLUT. However, get the rights seats in Pukka Pie and it's a great view.

It won't be on Saturday with the increased attendance pal. The youths serving are just as slow as in other parts of the ground.
I'm over for the Birmingham game at the end of the month. Normally go at the top of E Block, but on this occasion may sacrifice atmosphere for alcohol.

If they carry on with the Gestapo-like tactics on the Kop I reckon I won't be the only one looking to sit somewhere else.

I go up there quite regular so don't get too excited about the food service, I can tell you it's just as bad as all the other stands, I really needed some blotting paper last time vs millwall, and I went down at 1/2 hour in, they still took 4+ minutes between two of them to get me a pie and let me swipe the card reader.

One of them handing the pie over and the other holding the card machine out, as the (more important) funny conversation continued between them..

I was first as nobody was there, once a line built up the normal waiting and people walking off without food or drink ensued..

At all the sales points, they universally drag thier feet, they've all got thier heads together and are deliberately trying to sell as little as possible, it just can't be a coincidence and I can only think the pay must be so shit its thier way of getting back at the boss or whoever has the contract. ..

Less than 700 tickets left on the website.

Both corners, South Stand and John Street = 17 + restricted views - all single seats
203 left on Kop, mostly single seats
430 left on BUpper.

I take my hat off to a lot of supporters who may be suffering financial hardships or at least waiting for this Winter when it’s going to be a very trying time for us all so waiting until the last minute for tickets to see if their money can stretch far enough to see the blades is not just sensible but a very credible thing to do I hope the club acknowledges this because it’s looking like a good season and long term supporters shouldn’t miss out.

What do you mean by acknowledging the support.
The club acknowledge the fans at the end of every match, thanking the fans for their support.

Do you mean put on some cat C games, £10 a match games?, not sure if we do them anymore.
However whilst we're doing well.....even at the current high-ish prices, our matches are still going to be close to a sell out.

There’s a lot of ways to help people other than price of tickets I’m not going to suggest things because there are so many from cost reductions to spacing out home games but That’s only a start.

Non-season ticket holding BLUT masseev represent.

It's the only stand I can get 3 seats together with my lads / 4 with my dad at short notice. Its not the most energetic stand, could do with a singing section, but assume it's full of a few 'part time blades' like me.
Ask Ricky about the singing section. Think he's still up there waiting for people to join him.

I am a genuine blade been going since 1971, watching hope badger Helmsley flyn coloughn hockey Woodward salmons deardon Currie reece .went to every game in div 4 home and away and a season ticket holder in bl corner I simply can't understand why people won't buy tickets for the bl upper
I had a s/t up there when it was first opened and it's a great view. I am now in the BL Corner above corner flag but that is a great view too.

The Bramall lane upper tier is great. More seat legroom, it’s generally not packed so getting served at the kiosks pre match and at half time is a breeze. Minimal queues for the toilets at all times. I used to take it a little for granted until I was cast down into the hell that is the bramall lane lower tier vs Forest in the home leg of the play off first leg.

Sat on the South stand Gangway F just below where the WAGS (way before social media I`m talking 80's/90's) used to sit near the entrance with my Grandad for years with our season tickets thought that was a great view of the pitch.

Then when my kids were interested in football, my eldest really, we went in the family stand until we struggled getting tickets there because its full of, ahem, adults at the BL end who don't appear to have any kids and are quite vocal to the away fans. Its not very nice for kids in that part of the "family" stand and he always used to end up behind someone 6 foot 8' and we would swap seats.

So then we tried BLUT few years ago and its brilliant. Loads of legroom, at an angle that you would have to be 8' tall to block someone behinds view its just the right side of noisy and does have a good atmosphere when the singing starts and the view is brilliant. We mainly sit behind the goal so get to see a lot of the action in front of us. Can't see any of the annoying away fans too. :) Only place you can guarantee a good view for my son (12 years).

Only downside is the food is appalling and the pour a pint an hour brigade serving are very annoying whilst you are waiting for them to do someone's order of 3 beers and it takes 20 minutes.

We've got our tickets for Saturday and the missus (Leeds fan) is coming too.

Yes he's 15 now and we STILL sit behind the goal on the Kop.
I joke with him that he choose one of the worse views in the whole ground and he agrees and can we laugh about it now.

We occasionally think about moving but we know the other ST holders around us and have kind of got used to the poor view.
Funny that, same for me. Similar poor view, due to a post in my case, but over the years love the crack and atmosphere around my seat and would be very reluctant to move, and, it’s standing.

Similar for the Hull match at Easter just before the Cardiff City. I thought I was going to die being crushed on a barrier, luckily a stronger lad than me pushed back to allow me to nip under it. Dangerous

Living so far from Sheffield (300 mile round trip) I frequently go to watch Gloucester Rugby. Tickets for the main stand (equivalent to the South Stand are £42 for an adult, standing in the iconic Shed ( standing only, low rake, few facilities, super bad loos) is £30. I think SUFC are doing well with their ticket prices, but wouldn't want them to go up anymore than this.
