I'm in the bl upper always sit up there , agree best view in ground
Same. Best view along with the Westfield corner. I'm glad it doesn't often sell out as I'd then struggle to get tickets often not knowing if I can make it until late on. I'll have no chance in the PL with the rate our fanbase is growing

I would have put this one down as the first 30k of the season. Reading brought a taxi full for a midweek game and we still very nearly got 28k.

30K have been sold already and there's still 3 days to go. Should end up being around 31K.

I actually watched that team as a 10 year old kid, my first game was v Cardiff City on the kop with a 40 000 crowd , won 5 1, my dad was a pig and he took me to pigsborough aged 9 v Portsmouth 0 0 in front of just 11000 .check those facts if you can find em.but still why doesn't no one like the bl upper
The 5-1 Cardiff City game was a night match and on a school night………….Could explain your punctuation I suppose? 🤔

TBF, pig or not, he has a point regards the BL upper. I have a ST in the BL corner also, and often wonder why it’s the last choice for games.
Kop for atmosphere, family for family reasons, south as it's along the side and many prefer watching on the side and then BLU and corners follow. I think the view is great up there myself.

So Broomhill blade checked me out and I'm obsessed with crowds, point taken, sorry. But in my tiny blades obsessed brain, before I die I would love us to start selling out every week.so the prince would have to sort that kop out ,remove the pillars and extend with a proper concourse meanwhile the bl upper would be full lol

It's going to be bigger than some Premier league games and over 30k for a game with zero rivalry in the start of September is pretty impressive.

Depending on away attendances won't be the last I suspect

If you have not sat there before I’d say people would choose it as a last resort, try for the other 3 stands first, basically stick to what you know as most fans will have been on the other 3 stands but not all have been in BL upper and so turn there nose up a bit to the BL upper as they think it may be shite.. but once you do sit up there you see it’s far from shite, brilliant stand and view.

It's mainly tradition.
The best stand at the Lane is the South stand, that one tends to regularly sell out
The next best stand with the nicest concourse area is the John Street family stand
If you want atmosphere you tend to buy on on the Kop.

The BLUT is the oldest stand and the only reason to buy in the BLUT is the great view.
The BLUT corner is a great view and pretty new but it's a bit on it's own with little atmosphere.

I think it’s maybe because it’s not been a choice for long periods of time, it’s the last stand people would consider, given it often couldn’t be considered.

Why don’t you sell out every time you play Rotherham? Probably because they keep beating you.
With last minute goals......oh how they hate playing Rotherham at Hillsboro.
Think the Merry Millers have won 2-1 at Hillsboro scoring a deep into injury time winner THREE times in their last few head to head league matches.

Non-season ticket holding BLUT masseev represent.

It's the only stand I can get 3 seats together with my lads / 4 with my dad at short notice. Its not the most energetic stand, could do with a singing section, but assume it's full of a few 'part time blades' like me.

I ended up in BLUT for the game against Wolves. I think it was the game after Bouncing Day. It is a great view. You're high up, but because it's two tier you're also relatively close to the pitch, unlike anywhere else in the ground.

Yeah, BLUT and BL corner is for the discerning adult who enjoy the great views of the game and don’t give a flying fuck, how many away fans are in the ground.

The BL upper keeps changing from being home fans, home fans but have to move for away fans if demand or cup rules dictate and some seasons away fans. We’ve not had uninterrupted years of home fans establishing themselves in that area.

Over 3 and a half days left to sell a few hundred tickets pal, nothing to worry about

True...I was always in the BLUT corner stand during our league 1 days, great view, really enjoyed it.

I used to take my 10 year old grandson at the time and decided to get season tickets when we reached the Championship.
I offered to get my grandson a ST for anywhere in the ground.

He wanted to go in the Kop for the atmosphere and after checking out different places, he preferred it almost directly behind the goal, virtually the front row.
So for the past few years I've had a crap view of our general play but a great view of goal mouth action at the Kop end.
Goal mouth action at the BL end, can't see a thing ha ha. I always have watch the highlights of our matches back on SUTV.

For anyone under 50 The Lane end has been viewed as the traditional away end, I am sure it’s a terrific view but we always look to attack the Kop second half so its always going to be the choice of last resort.
This being the poor point about the BLUT. The view in the first half is always decent, in fact you feel as close to the action as you can get. The steep elevation makes it better than being front row anywhere else…..

But as you said, second half the view isn’t that great really.

I am a genuine blade been going since 1971, watching hope badger Helmsley flyn coloughn hockey Woodward salmons deardon Currie reece .went to every game in div 4 home and away and a season ticket holder in bl corner I simply can't understand why people won't buy tickets for the bl upper
Tommy Flyn and Brian colouqhn were brilliant , now try Joycey and Rodreegez.

Less than 1000 tickets left in the whole stadium, so with four days selling still to go, it will be a sell out.

However on tv there will be an empty seat behind a pole somewhere, which will give the original poster and his like all the ammunition he needs

Whilst of course ignoring the fact that they'll never sell out ever again because half the stadium is condemned
