Ye it's always football related on here. You try to make it otherwise so you can say people are trolling you.
Well, you've done your best. You've tried (and failed) to take me on on a number of topics, usually ending in your foaming ad hominem. I've called you out on it though, so you're being a bit more reflective, which is nice. Keep up the good work.
Ye I was asking if what I said was that bad (that the people saying you are wrong about Norwood are correct). No answer so I assume you indeed find that unacceptable.
Answer (pay attention now): A few good games and free kick don't make up for two and a half seasons of Hollywood balls and coughing up possession, telegraphed passes and shit midfield performances. Ask me at the end of this season when he's on six goals and we are promoted. Clear?
So he's been marginally better this season than the one in the prem? Or since Hecky? Astonishing view point. Which is why I've responded and why we're now having this argument.
He's put in some decent performances at the back end of last season (particularly in the playoffs) and discounting the first two, the rest of this season. Nothing astonishing about that.
If you mean your inconsistent and contradictory knee stance then I very much have it.
Okay. If it raises your rent, you have it. Happy? You don't, but for the benefits of your miniscule valuation on 'getting one over on me' just imagine I have given up and admitted it. Knock yourself out. I didn't say it and the tract mined by Barney didn't say it, bless him for trying to help.
You actually think Norwood has improved because he's decided to stop showing off with his passesSuch basic nonsense.
Yes. Pay attention again ... he is also showing greater tenacity in tackling (evident in the Reading game) and is choosing better short and medium range passing options (when he doesn't telegraph it as much) There's still work to do ... he doesn't go past opposition midfielders even playing one twos and although his set pieces have much improved, I'd like to judge that one come Christmas when he hasn't hit the first man on the near post as much as he used to. And I'd like to think the free kick he knocked in wasn't a one off.
Ye and it's not at all reflective of reality. And yet still you bang on about it. That's why I'm pointing out I think you're wrong. Do you understand that is part of the football discussion? How much longer you gonna bang on about it? Maybe if he's one of the main men and we go up you might consider you could be wrong?
But then if he was one who we relied on to stand up and be counted when we were getting trunked during our dismal second PL season, you'll admit that no, Norwood isn't 'the best MF we have seen at BDTBL' and has had a varied fortune in red and white. Talk to me about the game at Palace. Talk to me about losing at home last season early doors (pick a match) when he was fucking appalling and was frequently dispossessed and bypassed like a fucking traffic cone. He's meant to be the pivot - the regista - the start point for every attack and the guardian of every defence. You do understand what contemporaries past and present he has in the game, don't you? Matic, Pirlo, Kimmich, Busquets, Xavi, Kante, Butt. This is the measuring point for his game. None of these are long ball shirleys. Go watch some of them.
Well you posted some very long winded and horrible stuff about taking the knee to me. So when I see you trying to change your story and claim views you never held, I call it out. Don't really care how you feel about that.
And I don't care that you see it differently. If you can't accept my explanation and still feel it necessary to chip on about it, then you have the problem, not me.
If I was deliberately trying to get at you all the time I'd have pointed out how ridiculous you were hysterically claiming Millwall would run straight through us. Another superb call.
Um, second half was a bit different to the first, y'think? After the break we were put under pressure in the middle of the park and Norwood in particular was less effective, with Fleck struggling too (and his replacement not exactly steadying the ship either)
Did you think we bossed the game in the same way we did vs Reading?
