So much firepower, never seen a Blades first XI plus subs so packed with matchwinners. Improvement in Lowe and RND. Norwood with a perfect corner. Oli McB looked very good coming on as well.

Overall a really good performance as we start to put it together. Building very nicely. Very, very appeh.

It took a while to get going but, so many positives from tonight and that 2nd half performance deserved more goals.

Everything Rodley has said, plus Khadra looked electric, Lowe was terrific and McBurnie looked well up for it too.

It will be interesting to see who starts on Saturday but I can't wait.

Bags of quality Stretch. Probably 5 or 6 players capable of taking the game by the scruff of her neck and delivering that bit of class.

I was looking at the players on the pitch today and thinking back to the Clough - Adkins - even early Wilder teams. It's incomparable. Littered with internationals, non-domestic players, flair, pace. It's the most exciting group of players l can remember playing for us. Basset era, for all the success, was a group greater than the sum of its parts, Warnock's sides, while 'succesful' weren't exactly exiting, but this group. There's something really special cooking.

I think what we're seeing with this team now are moments, glimpses, hopefully these moments get longer, if it all clicks then yes, we'll have certainly a top 6 side if not one challenging top 2, but that all depends if it clicks, not getting any more injuries and scouts from other teams forgetting to come to watch berge

Although a born & raised blade it was only the promotion to prem which reignited my interest, much to the annoyance of more loyal fans. Either way I think we can do it again with this team, a bit of deadwood to cut away but if others improve we will be in bigger boys league before you know it - Gew on babi - let’s believe

Seeing McAtee replaced with Fleck and Brewster with Khadra is really heartening, strength in depth is important with 5 subs.

Ahmedhodzich and Berge have a great chemistry on the pitch so I’m going to temper things by saying we’ll sell both on August 31st

Agree with that although……he has a red card in him, either after a second yellow, that nearly happened yesterday when his calmness deserted him, or because he mistimes a tackle, and it goes quickly from brilliant to a straight red.

We have such an incredible opportunity with this. squad and I loving all the positivity around it at the moment. Although it sounds increasingly like Berge is on his way out, which I suspect will temper some of the optimism. That's unless we have a rolls royce replacement lined up......but who could that be?
