In all honesty I thought Mcatee was fairly anonymous until they were reduced to 10 men. He looked better with the extra space in midfield. He's young and will only get better. Khadra was superb.

He looked a bit reluctant to get the ball deep maybe in case he got pressured and lost it - probably to expect on first league start. He looked far more comfortable getting it out wide on the attack and I thought he looked like he had a great touch and could be a great player.

Touch and movement on McAtee was really good. He will build on that and I think he will be superb for us.

Khadra is one of those truly exciting players who can beat a man with skill and pace. I’m sure he will turn out to be equally frustrating at times but just what we have been crying out for.

We have the potential to be a really exciting team this season, we certainly have the ability to grind out results, we just need to finish teams off.

Khadra looks like an uber delivery driver. But fuck trying to catch him for my kebab. He can have it and I'll reorder from Imrans. Their delivery is good, but much slower build up.

Egan getting slated but it's a great substitution and complete formation overhaul that saw where we were being sloppy with the passing. Alex Neil needs some credit for it more than Egan needing slating.

Egan held his hands up he underhit the pass that was pounced on ...it happens not slated him but it was his only mistake.
if he learns from it its a win win situation

it made them look better for the subs but it was our own mistake rather than their subs

McAtee also gave the ball away a few times needlessly and lost several duels due to a lack of strength/aggression.

Still did well for a kid just starting to play mens football. 6/10

I was quite impressed. They played quite high up the pitch and pressured us really well. A bit like us when we first came back into the Championship and had that no fear attitude.

Obviously part of the game plan to rough us up a bit but they were lucky not to be down to 9 men.

The management team see the players every day and know who is ready and who isn't. Khadra has perhaps been unfortunate, as he should have come on v Boro, but I have no problem with them building up McAtee and Doyle (after his. injury) slowly.

It's such a long season, and we are already at the right end of the table. So keeping players fresh and getting them into the fold gradually is not a bad tactic under the circumstances, especially as most of the established players are performing so well.
