To try and show that we are a half decent side, with a will and determination to get amongst them

As for today, pre match would’ve been happy with a point

Post match, disappointed not to win it
Should be a good opportunity to use Khadra and McAtee, over to you Hecky

Obviously two wins out of two would be perfect here. More realistically we'll win one and draw the other.

But I also wouldn't be too surprised if we only draw both. Worst case we lose one or both but we were strong at home not losing many last season especially when Hecky took over and I think (or hope) it'll be the same this season at BDTBL.

Let's hope we don't have our "walking football" duo in midfield for the whole of both games - we need to be a lot more positive and take the initiative.
Perhaps with 3 games in 7 days there will be changes on Wednesday and Saturday, especially if the newcomers are nearing full fitness.

Quite a bit of pressure on already if we want to keep the top two positions in sight.

I’m not buying that it’s about fitness. Surely these young lads can play a game of football ffs, it’s all they’ve ever done and they’ve come from one of the best teams in the world with state of the art training facilities. But mcburnie who’s hardly kicked a ball for months is fine to play!

They’ll get 5 mins here and there, in a few weeks 10 mins a few week after that 15 to 20. It will be towards the latter stages of the season before they start the only way no bollocks starts them is if it’s down to injuries, getting tedious and frustrating seeing fleck and Norwood in the starting lineup I’m not even saying these guys are the answer but I just can’t see them being any worse.

Minimum 4 points from these next two and we’ll be in a good position.

Two tough ones though given their starts, but I still don’t think there’s much we should be worrying about. Just need to focus on playing to our strengths and not being negative.

Fleck and Norwood start both matches as the new lads "aren't fit yet" and "don't know their defensive responsibilities."

Can't get fit if they don't play.
Why sign attacking players to help us score goals if you're more concerned with defending? Ironic that the focus is on defending with the poor goals that we concede through bad defending and not doing the basics like marking players at set pieces.

It's early doors but I'm already getting fed up of the lame excuses regarding our new signings while every other team in the division starts their new signings. Did West Brom have issues with Swift and Wallace or did they play for them in the opening match?

I have no doubt that Norwood and Fleck will start in at least one match, if not both as Hecky is that predictable. I'm going to guess against Blackburn as the likely match as Hecky will be soiling himself due to them being above us in the table, so he'll want to make the midfield tight.

The first three games looked very difficult on paper two of the top six favourites away from home and a side we never usually beat at home all whilst adjusting to having a side with no MGW in it.. secretly I feared we might have at best one point at this stage and full melt down.

4 points is a decent start and we have looked better than I thought we would at this stage without MGW. Still issues to overcome, such as the midfield two, how we are going to get the loan signings in, are we going to lose Berge, the managers uninspired use of the subs bench, and the never ending injuries.…

But Beat Sunderland in midweek its a very good start.. win both home games it’s an excellent star.

Let’s review after Saturday

If we can be on 10 points after the Luton game. That’ll be a good return from a difficult start.

We then have; Reading, Hull, Rotherham, Swansea and Preston in September. So I’m hoping that’s when we can kick on.
