Ffs the scorer was McKnobs man - he left him free - if McKnob keeps getting on the pitch , somone can have my ST.
In my 55 years i have never known one player cause me enough disgust to put me off attending
Think harder!

The way I saw the incident was,

McBurnie was stood alongside and presumably marking Akpom, leaving Anel as the free man, but as the cross comes in, McBurnie inexplicably, leaves his man to attack the ball, but gets nowhere near it. The Boro player nods it back across goal and Akpoms got a free header six yards out. Anel turns to McBurnie with his arms oustretched in front of him, which is internationally recognised sign language for, ‘What the fuck are you doing?’

That sadly was that, 2-2 and absolutely no way back

Correct.
If McKnob had started , he would no doubt have blocked Sander's shot and prevented our first goal

I blame McBurnie for the goal at Watford. Fucking liability, you could tell in the warm up it was going to be his fault. Same with their first goal today, for fucks sake, he obviously distracted the outstanding Max 'all time' Lowe and the world beater that is Rhys Norrington Davis otherwise they'd have easily done their job and stopped the cross.

I'll never forgive the cunt for equalizing against Man U, fucking ruined that game it would have been much more memorable had we lost 3 - 2.

Some right fucking cry babies on here, wah wah wah, I don't like McBurnie, he's a nasty man and everything's his fault. Grow up, you're like a bunch of pre menstrual 14 year old sows.

Grow up? Is that your attempt at irony?

It’s not some random unsubstantiated attack on your boy Ollie, if it had been Egan/Basham/Clark or Anel they’d have got the same criticism.

There are times when players make blatantly bad decisions and consequently cost the team and this was one of them. You may wish to overlook his culpability, on the basis that he scored an injury time equaliser against Man Utd more than two and a half years ago, but you can’t expect everyone to be quite so benevolent. Or have such a good memory 🤔

On and on and fucking on it goes. You talk about irony? Nobody gets anywhere near the shit he does. Fucking hell, you have posters crying because McBurnie stamped on a pitch invader, even though he didn't, you have posts about his clothes, his watch, his mates, everything you could fucking talk about on a Blades forum about a Blades player.

Bunch of fucking whiny babies, social media Blades rule, ok 🤭🤭🤭

Spot on post .... Poor McBurnie 😢 he was trying his best, people just need to remember that not all professional footballers on £30k a week are actually any good at football and give the lad a break.

love it. Next time Oli makes a daft decision or has a lapse of concentration we should all sing him kum-bi-yah until he doses off... After all he probably doesn't get much sleep at night when these sort of events happen....

I mean I doubt anyone would sleep well with all that money under their pillow.. must be awfully uncomfy!!

agreed. The mix up looks like Egan and ahmedhodzic who both seem to leave the goal scorer when at least one of them should be marking him.

Mcburnie is taking up a free role to attack the ball as it looks to me.
Pretty much how I see it too but hey we can't be critical of Egan and Ahmedhodzic can we when McBurnie is on the pitch.

Really? McBurnie who has just come on should be the free man. Anel should be marking the player he has marked all game, who was marking Akpom for his 1st goal?

Come off it watch the highlights, McBurnie is clearly picking him up then just does a slow jog away from him and a pathetic 3 inch jump missing the ball by at least 2 feet.

Even if it wasn't McBurnie's man surely anyone with any sense knows you don't just wander off and leave their striker stood on his own 6 yards out

As a few other sensible heads have said, the 'blame McBurnie for everything' is just embarrassing.

He had to make a split second decision and it ended up being a wrong one. Surely players on the team we all (supposedly) support should be backed rather than castigated at every opportunity.

Disappointing to concede like we did, also Disappointing to let sharp bat on when injuring his ankle I know sharp dunt like coming off but that was foolish to strap it up and continue, christ he's 36 .
We over used him last season playing 90mins in most games!it caught up with him and his season was over.
Sharp is a player I admire greatly but he has to be reigned in a bit at times,

He has been really fit and bellied his age but the fitness people have to stop him doing similar this season.
Come on Hecki look after him ! Does he let sharp decide if so he has to be overuled as at 36 he is lucky to be so fit with great enthusiasm for the club.

But if it was his job to man mark Akpom then man mark Akpom. Goes back to the Warnock documentary argument with Morgs. NW say's something along the lines of, if I tell you to man mark Player A and the unmarked Player B scores, that's on the manager, not the player.

Just do the job you're asked and you won't go wrong.

Was he told to do that? Or was he given license to just attack the ball? Unless you were in the dressing room, how do you know?

Generally, defenders need to go out with their men and personally I felt he should have stayed with Akpom but he's previously been tasked to just clear the ball from the danger area

I said IF.

And if he was given licence to attack the ball then he needs shooting for that too as he failed on both counts.

Who was marking akpon the whole game from set pieces i am not a Mcb fan but no way did he come on and take over who ever had marked Akpom till the 80th min .I get he missed the header but no way am i buying mcb job coming on was the mark him .Also looks like egan lost his man for the first header

Being shot for missing a ball into the box? Would you also shoot Egan for also missing the first ball, Lowe for not tracking his man for the first goal, Fleck for turning his back on the cross (assuming you didn't shoot him for his role in Watford's goal!)?

Unfortunately your response it typical of some on here - pathetic!
