Negative bastard here.. think our back 6 is good and our attacking force but our midfield 2 will let us down..

Good thing is we have 4, 5 arguably 6 competing in there - Norwood, Fleck, Coulibaly, Osborn, Arblaster, McAtee.

We ought to be able to find some combo there that works even if it ends up being horses for courses.

I’ve even left Sander out because I feel he’s better being allowed to go further forward.

My only negative is the amount of possession Norwood gives away.
Yesterday he was particularly guilty of this with his blind passes and often 'hopeful' balls.
He had time on the ball something Watford didn't allow him, yet he so often wastes possession.
And as for the penalty....
The keeper dived early because he knew where he'd put it, I knew where he'd put it!!!

I don't mind the odd blind pass because they sometimes come off. My main criticism is his sloppiness. He did it again a few times, runs with the ball and then plays an easy pass too casually and gives the ball away.

Norwood had a nightmare game yesterday but it’s not the first time. He is still an important player for us and will come back and play as we know he can.

Still our biggest problem at the club. They created very little on Saturday and defended poorly. I noticed in the first 5 minutes ir so our high pressure by the front three and we got turnovers almost every time when the midfield three joined in. Then the next 35 minutes front three pressed, the midfield three left a huge gap that allowed Brighton to pass out of the high press.
We talk about needing centre backs but we really need is players to help in the midfield. Brooks has been a great surprise and Vinnie started to hit his stride. Obviously Norwood and Osborne are just squad players now and no way good enough for the Premier League. Hamer, good going forward, a liability on defence. McAtee also exciting going forward but his defensive work not so much. Slimane, not too sure about him, there is a player in there but Premier quality?
We need a midfield player or two that are the proverbial box to box midfielders. It is why top teams dominate and we suffer.
The future looks good in Arblaster and Brooks for next year, Championship I'
m guessing. But really need two more to make a real go when we return in a year and half time.
