Hecky confirmed no more incomings now.

We've got a big squad. Too big, maybe, but it's still not great in certain areas.

GK, RWB, CM and ST still a bit debatable but we kind of have the cover.

GK im not too fussed about, happy for Amissah to play in the unlikely event Wes gets injured.

RWB yep still a problem, i think the length Bogle has been out has caught us by surprise.

CM not too worried as have heaps of options, Coulibaly, Arblaster, Doyle, Berge and so on.

ST we have enough strikers on the books theoretically, and Hecky has said Jebbo definitely wont be going on loan this season.. so to get another striker in would be a bit of a slap in the face to Jebbo.

He has also said previously if something of interest pops up last minute they will take a look, never say never with football, if there's an oppertunity ive no doubt we'll take it.

Wanted 6 or 7, not got 6 or 7,left to chance form and injuries especially forwards, just like we did in January and it backfired on us then

McPub is surely a non person by now

Can't rely on the other 3 for one reason or another, and none of them are a real physical presence

We'll be taking a risk and it could be costly
Cest la vie, we've played our hand the rest is now up to the football gods.

But rest assured we definitely definitely ain't bringing in another striker.

Davies the forgotten man

Don’t think it’s a big squad necessarily. It’s not as bloated as last season. If anything we can probably do without a player at LB and Osula if he was to be loaned out.

Other than that, the average age has shifted dramatically, Arblaster, Jebbison and Jordan The Keeper are now around the first team.

Gordon will probably go out on loan.

Think Hecky has played a blinder this window, would’ve been better if we got one of these wonderkids on Perm but that’s never going to happen.

Think it’s blown our expectations, and shifted opinion since the start of the June.

Hallmarks that this window squad is now fit for purpose.

- we’re not reliant on Sharp this season. Love Billy, build the statue etc. But even he will deep down admit, we can’t be overly reliant on him this season, Brewster needs to step up.

- We have Brewster, Doyle, McAtee and Bogle who all play for England U20’s/U21’s. Khadra plays for Germany U20’s, Jebbison and Arblaster at England U18’s/U19’s, Izzy at Mali and Osula at Denmark U19’s. That’s insane for a club at Championship level, especially for these players to be at first team level.

- Full internationals also compliment the squad, a couple of them are U25. Berge, RND, N’Diaye and Anel. Plus Egan and Stevens, and McBurnie if he ever gets called up again..

- We have a sprinkle of season pro’s. Wes, Basham, Norwood have all been there and done it.

- If the squad can gel, we can remove reliance on inconsistencies such as Fleck, Stevens and Osborn.

GK - Wes, Davies, Amissah

RWB - Baldock, Bogle, Bash, Anel

RCB - Anel, Bash, Clark

CB - Egan, Anel, Clark

LCB - Clark, Robinson, Stevens, RND

LWB - Stevens, Lowe, RND

CM - Norwood, Fleck, Doyle, Coulibaly, Arblaster, Berge

#10 - Berge, Khadra, McAtee, Ndiaye, Doyle

CF - Sharp, Brewster, Jebbison, Ndiaye, Osula, McBurnie

Last season we had 6 strikers and 5 were out injured. No club has ever planned for that amount of bad luck.

An extreme injury list will always damage a team chances, doesn’t matter if it’s Rochdale or Barcelona.

As been mentioned above we now have options to play just ONE striker due to having attacking midfielder options.

37 players, hardly a small squad and some must go out on loan to get game time. Useful with the move to five subs but a wonderful illustration of how far we have come in a very short period of time.
the young players will get experience and the old guard will be moved on, good squad development.

There's not 37 players there. 28 I think

Well when you put it like that…

Couldve done with an out and out goal scorer but at least we've got alternatives to the Norwood/ Fleck combination once injuries sort themselves out.

We'll probably sign a Madine/ hard bastard type in January when it's (even more) obvious McBurnie isn't the answer.

We are short goals in the squad
That’s the problem, apart from our ageing skipper none of the other forwards have shown, whilst with us, that they can contribute with 10+ goals in a season at championship level. We will need major goal contributions from whoever plays the #10 positions and it would help if our three centre backs could become more of a threat at set pieces.

We are short goals in the squad
Wait until we have 2x very capable front 3s, all in form, being rotated.

Khadra & McAtee behind Brewster
Berge & Ndiaye behind Sharp

Or any other combination. Then have McB and Jebbison to fight Brewster and sharp for starting roles.

I'm quite excited by it.
