Hi exeter fan in peace here. Just like to let you know our club yesterday confirmed that the rumours of you getting an extra stand, or 3500 tickets, is nonsense, so youll get the normal 1200 tickets unfortunately. Hopefully the game will be like the 4-4 game at BL, obviouly with us winning. But good luck with getting tickets. See you in may

Well, if that means I end up sat next to you come May, I promise to sit quietly when we hit the fourth.... ;)

JD,

You might be next to me. :o

I'm sure I'm not the only one with contacts in the West Country. :)

Either way. we're all coming. Loads of us who have no chance of getting in amongst our 1200 have already booked our B&Bs and hotels. Fancy dress like you've never known.
Your City besieged by probably a slightly smaller number of rebels than the 6000 of 1549 and this time all in peace and good humour.

dont get it
football clubs are desperate for money, heres a club Exeter who no doubt will already have been relegated spurning the opportunity of getting 3500 £20 notes in its empty coffers, of in excellent humoured fans in fancy dress.70k to Exeter would be a big deal, not to mention if they have a bar the half a million theyll lose on drinks, and the 5000 meals the local eateries will miss out on , utter madness

I sense the dead hand of the Devon & Cornwall Constabulary on this.

That is really unfortunate. I had a look on your site though and there is no official annoucement. Nor anything from SUFC. We were expecting something after Easter weekend when Exeter's fate may also be decided. It will be a real shame to see the ground half empty, when it could be filled. It makes little sense to me for Exeter FC to rule giving 2 stand out at this point. With an average attendence this season of 4.5k and a maximum attendence of 5.9k in an 8.8k capacity stadium, I would haave thought Exeter would at least consider increasing the allocation. It is highly unlikely that Exeter will be down and that SUFC will either be promoted or will need some sort of a result to be promoted. Many Blades have this in the diary already and I am expecting 4-5k United-ites descending.

I for one will be coming regardless. I would love to sit with fellow Blades, but maybe I will be sat next to you after all Shawn.

3500 with star trek uniforms and dodgy accents :D
it's devon btw.. beam me up scotty .. ooh arr :D.. it will be like palace.. 1200 inside and 3500 outside.. could be a good craic

Well I will hopefully be there as a supplier of ours is supposed to be sorting tickets/hospitality out

Devon constabulary are going to have major problems on their hands if it comes to the last day and United have received only 1000 tickets. Thousands and thousands will travel, ticketless, many of whom will try to get tickets in the home end.

Exeter's location means that United fans will take the opportunity to take wives/girlfriends etc to this fixture for a long weekend. It can and will happen. Just give us 2 sides ffs.

Its not on the official site. It was announced saturday via ecfc facebook site, adminned by a club official. Youll get what everyone else gets: 1200 tickets.

So when are they going to announce it to all non facebook users hardly an official announcement is it?

Plus the official tweet refers to the big bank so unless you only have two sides to your ground that leaves at least two further available.

Somewhat irrelevant I think.

you haven`t sold out your ground all season. Darlington 82, Leicester 1990 blades fans find a way...

Ok bring how many you want down to exeter, only 1135 of you are getting in.

Would you like a substantial wager on that even your own facebook site the majority are saying it's a good idea to give more that 1135 and if they don't Sheffield utd fans will be all over the ground anyway. Care to comment about your club official only ruling out the big bank not other stands and not selling tickets yet for the fixture. Either way there will be at least 3000 Blades; probably more, in your ground on the 5th May.

BTW Thanks for the tip-off many of us have put contingency plans in place.

Fixed it for you.

I'd be amazed if there wasn't at least 3 times that many away fans travelling and double that in the ground. If your manager is to be believed, there is some financial pressure at St James' Park and the extra £10-£20k you could get from us might be worth it.

The biggest crowds of the season at St James' Park (capacity 8,830) are:
Yeovil Town - 5,912 (67% full)
Sheffield Wednesday - 5,555 (63%)
Charlton Athletic - 5,439 (62%)
MK Dons - 4,832 (55%)
Preston - 4,741 (54%)

with an average crowd of 4,421: only just over half full.

Even allowing for the last game of the season swell, I'd be amazed if the Grecians can shift more than 4,500 tickets if this season's derby only saw 4,700 home fans. Why not move the standing Exeter fans to the away end and put the United fans on the Big Bank?

Derby? What derby? And im not against the idea of you in the big bank, but if its ' nonsence' that this will be hapoening. Then i guess it wont be happening. And i personally highly doubt youll be given an extra stand, check our forumnpage exeweb out to see the discussion about this on there. But all in all i guess we will just have to wait and see.

I guess the Plod will decide in the end.

Although, if it stays at 1200 please can we have a big screen and a real ale tent in the city centre? :)

Sorry mate - meant to say that the Yeovil game was as close to a derby as you've got this season since Plymouth imploded. Don't know what happened there!
