I dont think you understand, the club have said that rumours, that were started by chavvy stewards, that you were getting the big bank (our 4k terrace) is nonsence. So if you get an increased allocation it will either the old grandstand, or half the flybe. Not the BB.

Fair play. I've no idea how your ground is arranged so just assumed that they'd move the season ticket holders from one end to the other (and hope that it doesn't rain!). If it was me doing it I'd want the away fans concentrated into one part of the ground as that would limit their ability to dictate the atmosphere and create a "home" game.

At the end of the day, I don't care what happens. When the news is announced I'll take the most prudent option available to me in terms of acquiring a ticket; be that in the home end, in the original away allocation (unlikely, given my loyalty points) or on the extended allocation should that materialise.

The home ends are only for home fans. This is clearly stated on the ticket zone site, however as Shaun said, in order to get tickets, you need to be on the clubs database having previously bought tickets before... this apparently makes you a home fan. I wouldn't dream of doing this myself though.

However, if we take more fans than Exeter, does that make us the home team

I've just had a look around the outside of the ground on Google street view - the away end is on Saint James' Road. Forget talk of scissor lifts, just get a tall mate who's not interested in the match and sit on their shoulders for 90 minutes or get one of those periscopes that people have at royal weddings and the like!

Whilst this is true, I am struggling to see where these 2 wins are coming from. Looking at the fixtures (which I posted on another thread) it much more likely they'll be even further from safety come Tuesday. There is a reason they are down there and 8 points adrift. Sure, they can dream that if they win the next 2 then there in with a chance, but I just cannot see it.

I guess it depends on demand from their end... Their tickets go on sale on Fri 13th. We make an announcement after 15th... presumably because both sides will be 3 games further on and with 3 games then to go, Exeter could be down or still fighting to stay up. On the same token, if we're in with a shout of automatics still, we can expect another Palace.

Yes, agree with your sentiments Exeter. Exeter CITY FC (we wouldn't want to get them mixed up with their city neighbours now) are in a difficult position. If they were to give a large extra allocation then it is almost like admitting defeat. Imagine the message it sends to the fans and players if they say they are already down and announce the Blades can have 3k tickets. As I have already alluded to, their next 3 games are crucial: in their eyes they are all winnable. Just like the race for automatic, I feel the relegation battle will be a lot clearer with 3 games to go. If they are all but down, then they're likely to give us extra tickets. In the unlikely event they pick up 6-9 points in the next 3 games and Walsall/Orient fail to pick up points, then we might be sticking with 1'600.

A win for Walsall, at home to bottom of the league Chesterfield, would leave Exeter 9 points from safety and with only 5 games to go. So basically they would have to show promotion form to stay up and hope that Walsall and Orient do not pick any points up.

In fact if they do not beat Orient on Monday, then it looks like curtains. It will be interesting to see how many fans turn up for the Orient game (which looks like it is shaping to be the biggest game of their season).

Good to have you back Trig. Like old times. Not planning to travel down to Exeter are we not?! One fellow United-ite mentioned this, purely because I stated Exeter FC and not Exeter City. You alluded this to us being called Sheffield, to which I said it was not a great comparator (there being 2 cubs in Sheffield and only one in Exeter). Funnily enough no one other than those with axes to grind (i.e. you) has taken offence to me contacting Exeter. It is pretty obvious from viewing on here and speaking to fellow Blades that they want extra tickets. Hence I think I can safely say I was speaking for thousands of United fans when I pleaded for them to relase extra tickets. Now SUFC are in a better position than me, but I did not think it would hurt.

With Walsall beating Chezzy yesterday, then it is looking like Exeter are down. 11 pointd behind Orient/Walsall (and an inferior goal difference) with 5 games to go. It would be a minor miracle if they stayed up and if they fail to beat Orient on Monday, then they are all but mathematically relegated.

Fully expect the extra allocation to be given on the 15th ....
