He usually takes a while to get going but towards the end of last season he was in fine form. An in form John Fleck still walks into our XI and contributes enormously.

The management need to motivate him because he could be critical to our chances. The alternatives (Osborn mainly) don't come near to Fleck at his best.

Fleck aswell as Stevens has more bad games than good games. If we want to get promoted we can’t sit around and wait for him to “get going” we want promotion, you either be at the top of your game or you don’t play. No room for passengers

Many of the team selections above have Clark and Lowe replacing JLT and RND from the team that put in such splendid performance against Forest in the second replay .

I suspect that could well happen but am by no means sure it would be a good idea , given that the former was arguably our best defender in the final third of the season and that the latter put in an outstanding performance in that game .

In preseason both Clark and Lowe looked ok , but produced absolutely nothing to suggest that they were significantly better than they and I have a nasty feeling that starting both of them could backfire badly .

My other concern in terms of team selection is that of John Fleck who I understand from someone who is ITK , is still highly regarded by our management team . For me , he is nowhere near the player he used to be and must surely be in the last chance saloon .

It has been a very good pre-season so far in the transfer window IMO if we keep Berge I would rate the summer 9/10

Big game to start with against Elton Johns Boys and promotion rivals

I would be starting Jebbo 10000% for the first 3 or 4 games he is the only real fully fit striker we have and has had a storming pre season , if he isn't gonna get a run in the team now then when will he ? No doubt Sharp will be clogging that position up like Slav did last year with Brewster when he is back fit. There is zero point having these players if we don't play them, and ten fifteen minute cameos is not a run in the team and not enough to formulate an opinion on a player

The sqaud we have right now with the added depth is a top 2 team IMO and if we arent up here in the first ten games I will be calling for the managers P45 especially if managers like Coboran and Dychey are still out of work
