Outgoing? SANDER BERGE ON WAY OUT ?

Almost as annoying as losing Berge is the prospect of that Bee poster from the Maupay saga reappearing here if Brentford really are interested. I think we needed to get the whole forum fumigated to get rid of him last time.

EDIT: Just seen Greenwich Blade already posted about this potentially worrying turn of events. Apologies for repeating - I just panic posted without checking.

He can go for me providing we bring in 2/3 players to support the loss. I don’t think he was as influential as MGW last season & if we get £20m plus then I think we can use some of that money more wisely

Obviously i don't want him to go but being realistic if he did then a CM, CAM and a ST would be nice. (Quality transfers permanent)

He may be a very good footballer but his end product is inconsistent at best.

Ability-wise he’s possibly the best player in the league but how many games has he dominated?

He already has problems with drifting through games, which are hardly likely to be helped by him wanting out.

Fine if he stays, but I would sell in £20ms if we get the offer. Free up wages and buy two good players, which I think strengthens us significantly.

I'd be very surprised if he's here at the end of the transfer window. PL clubs might want a month of him proving he's fit though before they bid. I would imagine his agent will have been tapping prospective clubs up all summer.

Can’t see it being Brentford, doesn’t fit their philosophy I don’t think. Leicester yes or they sell Youri (not happening) only other realistic club I could see is Wolves if Man U get bored and panic buy Neves

They’ll wait until we need to do a deal, likely to get a better price unless we can start a bit of an auction. I can see this going to the wire with both sides playing chicken, unless a club is really keen to get him in and integrate him. My guess - £20m plus add ons based on number of appearances and maybe 10% of future transfer profit.

It certainly won't be the £35m that some people are kidding themselves about.

Be gutted if he goes. Never really got going for us. Can see the argument re: cash in, but as Hecky said, who are we going to get that can do what he does for less than he'll sell for?

If Berge is signed by a Premier League team Brentford are a very likely suitor given they lost Eriksonn. Hes not good.enough for a top 6 side and hed fit into Brentfords style of football nicely. It may be a b.s. account but hes picked a very likely club
Could be tielemans replacement

Ah yes, Kurupt FM. Fuck those guys.

Unless United are willing to take a loss on fee paid I think there is a good chance of him staying.

I think there is a fair amount of interest in him, but alot of clubs think that perhaps offers over £22m is a bit risky perhaps.
I reckon if we were open to offers for £15m then he'd be gone as many clubs would see it as more viable option.

Berge is at an odd stage in his time here. He's only really just started to play enough and really show some class. But this has also happened in the championship not PL.
That said before his injury season before he was arguably our best midfielder but sadly that season had little in way of player highlights so it's hard to judge.

And I'm saying all this but if he was to continue his form and either move to a top flight club somewhere or go up with us and perform he has the potential still to be a £30m player.

If Leicester were to be one of the interested teams, would it not be worth exploring if we could get Hamza Choudhury as part of the deal.

He has just a year left on his deal. He’s 24 also.

Can’t help but think he could solve a few problems for us.

He plays alongside Norwood and does the role we thought Berge would do. You have Fleck and Coulibaly in there too.

You then decide to deploy Doyle further forward as one of your number 10
options that Pep seemed to fancy and you add Khadra.

Team looks no worse overall and you’ve got a healthy fee into the club.

I think some other club that suits better for Berges natural playstyle/position will get excellent member from him. He tried his best for us and did very good, but let's hope we can find couple more suitable players for us to help this season.

I accept that it's likely Berge will go. But there's no way we get someone in anywhere near his level or near the impact he could have on this division this season, not a chance.
