Thoughts on the kit?

Needs to get to 100 pages though, keep moaning about the following:

  • Errea is better than Adidas
  • Adidas are wankers who use templates (thanks for the explanations, I now understand 'templates' in the context of a football shirt 👍 )
  • The kit is wank
  • The kit is perfect
  • The kit is ok
  • Material is wank
  • Errea use only the finest material
  • Should have been released earlier
  • Doesn't matter when it's released
  • GK shirt should be the away shirt
  • The meaning of 'bespoke'
  • Pictures are shit and it will look better on a model
  • Chuck some of your own designs in to prove that Errea took ages doing summat that takes 5 mins

If I've not covered anything then please feel free to moan/comment on something else.

Kit should be inspired by an old kit.
Kit shouldn’t be inspired by an old kit.
Away kit should/shouldn’t be white/black/day-glo/striped.
Eventual kit launch shouldn’t be by a local musician/film maker.
Brilliant that kit launch features local rapper/made by local film maker.

That surely cannot be a photograph of the actual shirt though?
The way the pinstripe on the arm fades out, and the red line (from the shoulder vertical) where the white sleeve stripe ends.
And bottom left pf the shirt? Just ends, with a white patch on it, plus, looks like the shirts has been extended using Photoshop clone tool (you can see a duplicated horizontal patch above the bottom).

The pinstripe on the arm clearly hits red material. The white but at the bottom is the back of the shirt being longer and the duplicates horizontal line is the stitching

Thanks. Thickness of the stripes. Where do I start....

I think the stripes are just off, a bit like the 92-94 laces shirt. No two shirts were the same.

For me, the stripe thickness should be adjusted to reflect shirt size. Adidas were at fault with this on a couple of shirts.

This one being a prime example. The stock image is 3x red stripes and 2x white, with a black side panel on each side:

On the bigger sized shirts, an extra white stripe started appearing around the black side panel:

This one is an XL and on sale on ebay currently. Looks like a different shirt altogether.

Then i remember my daughter was 6/7 at the time and I refused to buy her the shirt because in her size, it only had 1 red stripe on the shirt.

Now they’ve done everything I wanted on a Blades shirt….I don’t like it.

Reminds me of the kit we wore when Phil Thompson was captain under Porterfield - that had red and white stripes - also reminds me a bit of when Martin Khul was captain under Billy Mac , that had red and white stripes

Reminds me of when we had Conor Sammon.....oh......

What type of thread though? Cotton, wool, lycra. I've not been able to sleep worrying.
Can you remember, on Land of the Giants, the Spindrift crew used giant reels of cotton as climbing rope and giant needles as grappling hooks? It's all relevant to whether you're in the microcosm or the macrocosm. I'm sure if they'd have been able to get hold of some lycra thread, they'd have been bungeeing off tables and all sorts.

That’s the choice though isn’t it?

Do you set up and have one roll of equidistant material which is no doubt cheaper to mass produce or do you widen with each size you move up.

I’d imagine the latter is more expensive as you’ll need a S, M, Large, X-Large, XX-Large, XXX-Large materials as opposed to one single one.

That's terrible. I didn't realise that oversight was taking place.

Wouldn't happen with Errea. These guys know their onions.

With apologies to Morrissey... not that he deserves them, as he's a prick.

I was happy in the haze of a S2 thread
But heaven knows I’m miserable now
I was looking for some stripes and then I found some stripes
And heaven knows I’m miserable now

In my life
Why do I give valuable time
To people who don’t care if the cuffs are red, black or white?

Two piggies entwined pass me by
And heaven knows I’m miserable now
I was looking for a leak and then I found a leak
And heaven knows I’m miserable now

In my life
Oh why do I give valuable time
To people who don’t care about the width of the stripes?

What they showed to me at the end of the day
A Guiseley fan would have blushed
Oh we’ve been with adidas too long they said
But the keeper shirt, is that brown or red?

Oh in my life
Why do I smile
At football kits I’d never wear, let alone buy?

Very tinpot to not even bother calibrating the stripes to the correct shirt sizes. You'd think they would do it on the only shirt they produced that was actually worth buying. And people actually liked adidas.

The conspiracy theory thread is leaking.

Lol - it’s apparently not being launched before the season.

Surprising given every other errea client has apparently been able to launch a kit before now.

Yes, you could be right mate, same as matt.
I'm sat camping, looking on a phone, so to my eye, that red material on the arm, looks like a solid red stroke without subtle colour changes due to light (ie: someone has cloned the red and drawn it in Photoshop) as it seems to feather beyond the arm at the top.
What I'm saying is... I'm desperately looking for signs it's a fake, not a photo of the actual shirt - but is perhaps based on real info of the shirt!! Right the sun is out so I'm off to the beach!! 😁

Release date is 1 August. Day of Watford game.

Due to the takeover saga

NH: "We do now have a release date. The plan is to launch on the day of the opening game against Watford on August 1. I mentioned last week, without going over old ground, that the takeover put a lot of decisions on hold, this was one. That's why the other clubs in United World have their kits and not United.
