Everton have been charged by the Football Association for the pitch invasions during and after their victory over Crystal Palace in May.
Fans invaded the pitch at the end of the game and Palace boss Patrick Vieira was involved in an altercation with a supporter.
"Everton have been charged with two breaches of FA rule E20," said the FA.

"It is alleged that in the 84th minute and then following completion of the fixture, Everton FC failed to ensure that its spectators, and all persons purporting to be its supporters or followers, conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and refrained from using threatening and/or violent behaviour while encroaching onto the pitch area."

During the pitch invasion after the game, Vieira appeared to aim a kick at a fan after being taunted by him.

Merseyside police spoke to both Vieira and the supporter and, along with the FA, took no action over the incident.

All The above from the BBc website.

So far a deafening silence regarding Nottingham Forest pitch invasion.
Unless someone knows differently.

Not sure how anybody can expect Forest to be charged with anything. It was obviously all our own fault our players got assaulted and involved in skirmishes with opposition fans who were minding their own business and just wanted to celebrate a promotion with their players on the pitch.

If Billy Sharp hadn’t been stood there, right in the Forest fans path, there wouldn’t have been a problem.

As for Brewster and McBurnie, words fail me. What the hell did they think they were doing responding like that to a couple of Forest fans who were politely making it clear who’d got through to the final?

Just don’t know what United fans expect these days.

Huddersfield and Bristol Rovers have already been charged with end of season pitch invasions by the FA. West Yorkshire police have gone as far as putting up pictures of a number of individuals they want to speak to as a result. Meanwhile back in Nottinghamshire the local plod are busy asking for witnesses to come forward to help with the prosecution of 2 SUFC players for allegedly carrying out assaults on innocent peaceful Florist fans who apparently have the right to invade pitches to celebrate promotion.

Florist should be next on the FA's list but they are probably dragging their feet because of the Mcb and Brewster situation. The penalties can include ground closures. It will be interesting how Nottingham police respond bearing in mind a charge from the FA may add weight to Mcb and Brewsters defence.

When it does eventually happen cue hundreds of e mails from Florist fans to Nottingham police complaining that they only went onto the pitch because they were concerned that Paul Heckingbottom would attack Spence. Billy and Mcb were in a violent mood because they had made gestures to the crowd according to a Florist supporting journalist who was sat 10 rows back. Add in SUFC fans misunderstanding the traditional end of season rouse of throwing smoke bombs at opposition fans where they were supposed to head them back and its not their fault. So please lets not have any sanctions.

Florist are the new Leeds this year so fuck all will happen don't want to upset another sleeping giant in the Premier squeeze 😴

You forgot about us kidney punching their disabled fans ...

Remember they are the new darlings of PL nowt will come of it or it will be our fault

Aslong as RB n MCB get charges dropped i couldn't give a fuck if nothing happens tbh. Lurking forest fans must be laughing there tits off at some of threads on ere last few days

I took my son to Andfield yesterday for the stadium tour. Enjoyed it and much better than the Man U one. Was sat in the stand in the brilliant sunshine admiring their new hybrid pitch and every 5 metres or so signs clearly facing the fans telling them any unauthorised person coming past this point onto the pitch will be arrested by law.

Just made me think about all the lame excuses being given out about the Forest fans. If there are "too many to arrest" or whatever the club should be fined heavily not just a pittance and maybe their PL status should have been called into question. If this was the PL, Man City v Liverpool final game of the season title at stake and Man City won and their fans invaded the pitch and Liverpool players were victims of scuffles or worse like Billy there would be utter outcry but as its Sheffield United involved no one cares.

The gulf between the EPL and the ELF is vast and we all know it…..

The EFL are absolute bottle jobs who are always reluctant to enforce their own rules and impose any sort of serious sanction against anyone who has the financial power to challenge their decisions…

They will quite happily banish a small league one or two club to near extinction, because they don’t fear the financial repurcussions of any form of counter challenge.

But at Championship level or in which owners have a wad to cause the EFL problems in challenging decisions…. The EFL bottle it. They are an absolute mockery of an organisation…… with no balls what do ever.

So would any action be under EFL or FA jurisdiction?
I'm going to email them in the morning and ask them if rule E20 applies in the EFL or just the PL.

If they answer that it applies in the EFL, then next question is why haven't Forest been charged like Everton have. Bristol Rovers have been charged. So why forest haven't, as of yet, is indeed a mystery.

INCIDENT OF MISCONDUCT (NON-FAST TRACK)
Bristol Rovers FC, English Football League 2

Bristol Rovers FC v Scunthorpe United
English Football League 2
7 May 2022

Two breaches of FA Rule E20.1 and E20.2:

1. It is alleged that in/or around the 85th minute of the fixture, Bristol Rovers Football Club failed to ensure that its spectators, and all persons purporting to be its supporters or followers, conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or refrained from using threatening and/or violent behaviour whilst encroaching onto the pitch area.
2. It is further alleged that at the conclusion of the fixture, Bristol Rovers Football Club failed to ensure that its spectators, and all persons purporting to be its supporters or followers, conducted themselves in an orderly fashion.

The Club have until 4 July 2022 to provide a response.

I'm wondering, would the pitch invasion have been so large, couldn't stick a pin in, and so fractious if Blades hadn't have won and then failing in the penalty shoot out. My thought is that the enormous relief they experienced, cos after winning at the Lane they thought that was it and to reiterate how superior they think they are they just lost it, literally.
That's enough of my psycoanalitics, all boils down to being deceived in mind and judgement.

Pitch invasion involving the assault of a player should be a straight stadium ban I e. Behind closed doors game straight away.

Beerschot someone threw a flair and there was a pitch invasion. First two games of this coming season are behind closed doors. Will cost the club a fair bit in revenue, possibly around half a million Euros depending on the ticket price and loss of other matchday revenue.

So how is invading the pitch and an actual prosecuted assault not leading to any whatsoever charge? If Billy Sharp had been severely hospitalized, would that have been enough for the EFL? Maybe a death? Is that what is needed?

Once the police got involved the EFL seem to have completely washed their hands of punishing Forest.

The unsavory scenes that McBurnie and Brewster got dragged into were a direct result of their place of work being invaded. The fact they are on the hook for anything is down to Forest's total absence of control of the event.

Meanwhile Staffordshire police are still looking for Port Vale fans after the pitch invasion after their game with Swindon where players were assaulted. It does seem like Forest and their supporters are getting a free ride from the FA, EFL and Nottinghamshire police.

The charges are being made under the FA's jurisdiction not the EFL. They relate to FA rule E20.1 which states;

"FA Rule E20. 1 provides that a Club shall be responsible for ensuring, amongst other things, that its supporters refrain from improper conduct."

The standard wording used for Huddersfield was;

An FA statement said: “Huddersfield Town FC has been charged with a breach of FA Rule E20.1 following its EFL Championship game against Luton Town FC on Monday 16 May 2022.

“It is alleged Huddersfield Town FC failed to ensure that its spectators, and all persons purporting to be supporters or followers, conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or refrained from using provocative and/or threatening and/or violent behaviour whilst encroaching on to the pitch at the end of the game.

“Huddersfield Town FC has until Monday 11 July 2022 to respond.”

Wow. So Huddersfield getting rascaled for this yet Forest, for which there has already been a criminal conviction, still nothing? To quote 'The Boys', "fucking diabolical!"

Why does no one care? And who said they don’t ?

Be assured that the EFL are somewhat annoyed!
Given that the only players who have been charged by the police in all these invasion belong to us, then the EFL are probably right to keep out until our cases are dealt with. Then they can take action.
