We’ve been writing Billy off every pre-season for the last few years now thought. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him still banging the goals in until he’s 40.
Ibrahimovic has just signed on at AC Milan for another year. 8 goals in 23 league appearances is a decent record for a bloke nearing the end and playing a supporting role mainly from the bench on a busted ACL.

A lanky bloke on our books needs to sit up and take note

Sharps days are numbered. It will upset me immensely when he retires but a fit Brewster and Davis keep Sharp out of the squad as a backup option.

Last 10-15min impact sub to rough up a few defenders

You can't turn back the clock, and none of us ever get any younger (unless you spend thousands on face lifts, like Carol Vorderman), but Billy is the best striker/finisher that we have. No one else comes close in our squad.

What we need, is Billy to stop running around, trying to create, we need everyone else to step up and do that, and just have him hanging around the box, waiting for the ball.

If we are in a situation where we don't need him, and he just comes on for the last 15 minutes, then Hallelujah, but until others prove they can consistently score, we need him.

Doesn’t look like Sharp will be fit to start the season so Brewster will get first crack at it. Hopefully he can make that position his.

Yeah- but Billy as well as the best striker at the club by miles- is also the best crosser of the ball at the club. Simply put- 'he's still brilliant.'

£40k a week? Frightening how much some of these young players are picking up. Its no wonder so many lose the appetite for playing at senior level when they are millionaires based on their abilities in age group football.
He would be a far better fit for our snappy passing style, that retains possession then a lump it up front big man. Its why we were more effective with no strikers or Billy assisting others from the wing. Oppositions set up for a 442 and then have no strikers to mark.

I don’t believe this. I can’t see it as a player we’d be attempting to sign albeit he’s very good we’re already spending a ton of money on strikers. I’d say we’re in the hunt for a MGW v2

Doubt it's true (although i hope it is)sure he said jagielka was joining wednesday years ago

Could be the end of Sunji transfer ITK this, last one he said was Ryan sessegnon joining. At least his ego will be massaged by telling us the first game of the season an hour before it comes out

His transfer ITK isn’t that great more miss than hit recently. Alan Nixon confirmed we’re after Khadra. No chance we’re after both & Khadra is more believable for what we need

Whilst I do agree, I definitely think we're short up top. The form & fitness of our strikers last season was woeful as a collective.

We still need a CF, no doubt about it. If we have any ambition anyway

I feel like a mug writing Sharp off but at his age he surely can't do it all season. Don't expect more than 25 starts

McPub is beyond a joke, whether playing for a contract or not

Brewster is unreliable injury and form wise and probably can't be the lead CF, needs a strike partner

It all screams Keinan Davis

Sign him and Khadra and keep Berge and we WILL go up. Its within reach!

Totally agree, I can't knock our business so far and we seem to be very wise in our recruitment, but we need to replace Gibbs-White unless N'Diaye can step up to the plate like he did in the last 7 or 8 games of last season. We definitely need another forward at least.

100% if Brewster doesn’t come good we’re relying on Sharp again because there’s no way we get 15-20 goals from McBurnie/ Jebbison

I suspect Davis will go to the wire. His stock is the highest it's ever been.

I think they'll be looking for a permanent transfer for K Davis at the moment.
I think his price range would probably be £12-16m. I just don't think he's scored enough goals yet for them to ask for much more and he's not a kid.

If they don't manage to arrange a sale (and I do think it's an ask unless a promoted or relegated team take a fairly big gamble) then he'll be loaned out in the final week of the window.
I would imagine the relegated teams would then be at the front of the queue.
And if I was a betting man, I'd plump for Watford on account of the wage structure.

No he's not.

Nobody had a problem with him in the PL.

Last season he had a bad injury, then covid, then another injury. Anybody would have struggled to find form.
As far as professional footballers go he is basically disabled

Its pitiful

Imagine how fucked up and weak he must be to be getting covid all these times

Then he gets injured and seems to automatically develop muscular dystrophy at the same time. Never known a player so routinely need to be 'built back up' after every little niggle

His occasional acceptable showings in the PL must have been a fluke

And he has absolutely zero desire to be here

Maybe he has no desire to be here because of people like you.
