Are you fucking kidding me??

No. I think Simo is useless and very rarely stops anything of note and costs us loads of points with his basically panic stricken, nesh goalkeeping.

This isn't somat I've dreamed up after last night, never rated him, never will and me and you could have been in net and we'd have beaten some of these sides so impossible to argue he has made a difference - other than a very negative one.

That's brillaint, hats off Mic!

Until now, fans have been split into those who went and saw the game and those who didn't go and therefore didn't see it. Now, we're going for a sub-category of those who were there, but were in the wrong part of the ground, Mic's own version of the wrong kind of leaves on the line.

I was in the wrong part of the ground, just along from Mousey as it happens, but for what it's worth, last night, Simmo was some way down the list of cuplrits, left very exposed by poor marking for the first goal, a hashed clearance for the second and even worse marking for the third. Even from 100 yards away, I feel confident that there wasn't much your new scapegoat could have done about any of the goals.

He did have one rush of blood which he got away with, when they knocked a ball over the top and he came racing out of his area and was completely in no man's land and their player hit it way over the top. It seemed out of character at the time and was symptomatic of our general panic. At least I think it was panic, I wasn't on the pitch and it's always hard to tell from behind the goal.

Cheers!! I do try you know. So whenever a player is unmarked there is no chance of keep saving anything? No chance of a keeper claiming a good cross or knocking it away?

You watch Simo when oppo have a corner. He is motionless - you may as well just put a s foot tall cabinet on the line and it would be as much use.

i'm confused.. i thought it was lowtons fault.. :D
and i can't even blame he who can't be named cos he's injured.. (yeah i'm just as bad)
anyways.. eh up mic.. not seen you for a bit.. now we lose a couple i see you're back.. coincidence?.. nowt to talk abart?? :)

Only need to post really when Swiss comes on moaning about Wilson.

Ive long since accepted that McCabe has ruined our beloved club. I've seen plenty of goals and quite enjoy the pub league so that's about it really but I tell you, Simo is completely useless and should be a class above

We've seen this year that he's a decent keeper. Not in the same category as Rees, Tracey, Kelly and Paddy, but decent, particularly at this level.

I can't comment on last night, but we all know that Simmo is a confidence keeper and seems to need a settled back four in front of him.

The fact is that the back five that played last night haven't even trained together let alone played together, so it was always going to be messy. Not sure why clubs always wait until the last minute before bringing in emergency loans, but thats what we had last night.

Can you also blame Simmo for being nervy last night?

Taylor - 2nd game in 14 months
Ertl - Played 1 game at centre half all season
Hill - Arrived at the club yesterday
Egan - Arrived at the club yesterday

I'm not looking to excuse any mistakes Simmo may have made, but to point the finger at him for last night is a bit much when he's had a decent season for a team that sits 2nd and has a decent defensive record.

Yes I can blame him for being nervy last night. He is an experienced pro in the pub league earning 10k a week.

Seriously though, I aint just talking about last night - i really do not rate him.

Please note that if Sitwell says Simo should communicate and command his area more and if Cooper says that he probably could have helped Hilly for the 2nd but too far away to tell (he should have helped Hilly per TV quite clearly) then that is 2 legends effectively agreeing with me. Cheers lads.

A complete and utter joke of a keeper. Useless, petrified of coming out and helping defenders.

Complete liability - very rarely saves anything of note. Decent save against Oldham but nowt special - nowt you wouldn't expect fromany pro keeper.

Drop this clown please Danny.

If he had been in net against Huddersfield we'd have lost - oh hang on a minute he was in the net and we won thanks in part to him.

Have a go a blaming Monty for last night's loss. Oh hang on a minute he wasn't playing.

Tell you what have a look at the team sheet for last night and choose another player and blame anyone.

I'm talking about his entire 'reign' as No. 1 at our beloved club Wardlow - at least respect that a bit

'nesh'.. heh.. not heard that in 'donks'.. quality :)

ps i don't rate him either btw

I agree with very little he says but he has a very good point about corners,he is completely reliant on the defenders winning the header unless it is straight to him ,he doesn't command his 6 yard box never mind the 18 yard box. He does make some good point blank saves but is rubbish at penalties and communication. I think he will go at the end of the season and Howard will be our keeper next season no matter what league we are in.

Howard who.. hughes?? come on let us in on it.. personally i'd like tommy lee but hey

He should come to claim corners and command the back 4 better BUT can't complain about his form really of late.

I'm hoping that Howard is just very "relaxed" during shooting practise, don't think he stopped one last night.

It was like a duck shoot ,shit myself walking past with my bovril,Beatties still got a fair shot on him.

Paddy never came for corners or crosses where he could be challenged. It made him a better keeper because he didn't come, stuck to shot stopping instead of European style keeping.

Do you have some uncrontolable urge to be the biggest twat in the world ?

now, now judgey. Might be fine down the dole office in Liverpool, but that kind of language and behaviour towards others is not wanted on here!

Now now olly , cheap shots like that might be acceptable in a land where people have beards and nil sense of humour but not on here

Random oar sticking:

Simmo makes the odd great save, but far too many clangers, and when he looks good it's because he has been protected by those in front of him.

Get our young lad out on loan, and see what he comes back as. Simmo is vastly over-paid.
