I spoke to a bloke yesterday who claims to be ITK and who , to be fair , has got a few right in the past .

He said that he’d been told that Billy will be ok for the start of the season but that both Brewster and Bogle are doubtful and that both could be out for an unspecified period .

Does anyone else have any info on this ? If true , the latter in particular would be a major setback for us imo .

I thought they and McBurnie were out for the start of the season?

Heard the same on Bogle. Could be as long as the New Year

If Bogle is true no way do we let George go. Also if Brewster isnt ready for the start of the season that is a massive blow.

Are we just really unlucky with injuries or is there something.else.going on?

training pitch

Already confirmed bogle not in pre season but Brewster is.

It is common knowledge Brewster is back fit now, Sharp will be another couple of weeks and McBurnie and Bogle are both 2 to 3 months from being available

Just how bad is this training pitch to cause injuries like this?

I am imagining something alike to the ground at the Battle of Somme!!
it would be fine for us, but if you're training on something not right every day you're going to be more susceptible to injuries.

Pretty sure Brewster is ready to start training or just about. Sharp is back.
Bogle I think it's well known will be out going into next season, so no pre-season for him...

I think alot is made of the training pitch. But essentially the gist of it is that when it rains alot it becomes a bog and unused.
Before it turns into a bog it becomes a bit slippery too (More than required)
Means the players have to train on the indoor small pitch which isn't good for much or sometimes use the lane pitch but being careful to not over do it on there as well.

Sounds like when they fixed it last time they probably went for the cheap option, so we are doing it twice. Like getting a cheap tradesmen in false economy sometimes.
Considering they carried this out on our promotion seems daft to me.

It was fine until we brought in the new security company after they won the bid by cutting back on man power by placing anti personnel mines around the perimeter. Hecky introducing the "kicks it, gets it" policy took some adapting to as Brewster and Bogle's wayward shots into the minefields took some retrieving
