Away sounds nailed fluorescent yellow going off this…

Watching that, a few things:

1. Why does his face look like he's got that sad face TikTok filter on?

2. United have fully designed these. YES. If they are wank we can FINALLY fully blame Bettis. 🐍🐍🐍

3. He doesn't tell us much that is new, or anything that he couldn't have heard snippets of from elsewhere. How do we know that he's actually in Parma? It's been reyt nice this week, he could just be on an industrial estate in Rotherham.

1990 away - unique for its colour, 1991 away, loved the yellow and red with the black flash on one arm, 1996 home, 1992 home. 1996 was made by avec, another lesser known company, but was a nice home shirt. As for my worst ever, has to be that adidas home shirt 2020...horrible, too much white, followed closely by those avec made diamond ones in the mid 90s. 90s were great for many teams in terms of unique shirts, some more than others.

Agreed all great shirts, as well as all being templates

Got to be better than Boro's, that is a shocking attempt!
God knows how much Peroni they gave the guy signing that one off!!??

the 3rd intrigues me however during my entire blade supporting life I've never seen us do "fashion" well so it could end up being a horror show, as for the home and away there is soo much of this inspired by/looking back/reimagined shite. in reality these rehashes please many which is the goal but they're never as good as what inspired them

Sounds promising, especially the commercial angle. Like others have said, the quality of the kits will be key for most fans.

Just looked it up, I don't hate it, but it looks incredibly low quality
Extremely low quality!
Theres no type of pattern in the material or anything, just plain red and a white band, and the collar is shocking, looks shit.

I guess all shirt designs are templated somehow, it is how they are designed after all. Its more about the uniqueness of the design, the colours used and not using the same template for other club shirts. For example the blades Umbro away shirt in 1990 was the first to use hi viz green/yellow, also had a nice underpattern on the material. Also whilst a few other clubs had laced collars like the 1992 home shirt, the design wasnt copied by other team shirts with stripes that wore umbro, as far as I remember. The yellow and red away kit I mention had a distinct black flash on one arm, didnt see any other club shirts with that. I look for uniqueness, even those dreadful diamond designed kits were something different, but those adidas efforts left me thinking 'meh', it may be those big arsed three fcking stripes on the shoulders that bugged me, or that they produced some shockers, again like the 2020 home shirt, that salmon pink debacle, that green and gold wankfest and that unimaginative boring white away shirt that looked like they had just picked up a standard adidas shirt amd stuck a blades badge on it. Lack of effort from adidas, lets hope errea do us proud and produce a shirt with identity..

First time I can recall us starting the season with a 3rd kit. They usually come out well into the campaign.

I think all but 3 of our 3rd kits have been white as well.

Those slagging Errea off for quality… Have you ever owned any? I doubt many have unless you’ve a soft spot for Parma.

https://en.errea.com/fabrics/ - I highly doubt a company using cheap fabrics would go in to so much detail about fabrics used on their own website.
Yebbut its all about brand snobbery for some.

Correct, it’s all biased. I collect football shirts, for 30 years now, have over 400 shirts, and can say the Errea shirts are overall really great quality wise. Often they are more body fit like Kappa as Italian brands are known for that. The fabrics are really nice to wear.

Didn't the pigs have exactly the same shirt?

Edit: no they didn't, and I now need to burn my phone after looking at dozens of pig shirts

Loads of others had that exact same template with the triangles on the arms though, you're right.

I’ll bet the collar on at least one of the three new shirts has been used by Errea on another teams shirt at some point. Technically making it a template collar aka not bespoke.
