Simple question - where do people now think we will finish - I said Champions back in July and I am sticking to it :-)
 



My pre-season prediction was 14th.

A lot hinges on the next game, in fact you could say it is a MASSIVE game.
 
I'll stick to my July Poll vote..... Automatic Promotion.
 
I wonder if Im the only Sheffield United fan left posting on this board what with all this optimism. We'll fuck it up, thats what we do.
 
I've changed from 11th to Champions.

Remember if we can actually achieve Champions then we will join a select band of just TWO, who have won all FOUR top Division titles (with whatever name they may have or have had). The only team to do it are Wolverhampton Wanderers, who beat us to this title last time.
 
At the start of the season I said we would piss this league.
Seen nothing to change my mind.

Champions, are you people mad? Charlton are already away over the horizon and I expect that gap to get bigger. And that's without me taking into account that we are Sheffield United and we do indeed fuck it up.

I'll go with an uncharacteristicly optimistic guess of we'll cling onto second.

Probably because this is not a political thread I find myself in agreement with WalthamstowBlade. The club we support is Sheffield United. Therefore we are bound to find some new way of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Ain't that the truth. We are better than every team I have seen us play against this season, even when we have lost. At the back of my minds there is still the nagging thought that we are going to chuck it all away and fuck up in the play offs though.

Charlton play two more matches before we play again. Can I take the fifth until Saturday evening?
 
I voted Champions, but that's just me being delirious. The only game Charlton really have to worry about is the away fixture at Huddersfield. I can't see us gaining six more points than them between now and May.
 
I'm too scared to vote. Pre-season I went for bottom half, so it's all there to lose.... :)
 
Top would be nice , but it is in part out of our hands, not impossible to catch Charlton they draw3 we win 3 were level
2nd will be ok though, way we are playing be one of the 2, be nice to win it though

ignoring Wednesday as they are now dog shit , only Huddersfield pose a threat, but the disruption will scupper them , simon grayson will be happy enough securing a play off berth

Stevenages legs will go , too much to make up , plus we are a much better team
 
2nd just like 1989/90 and Charlton are weeds. How can anyone vote outside the playoffs????
 
Abstain until after the derby. I can't see past it at the moment because derbies are so unpredictable, i can see every result from us battering them to vice versa (really, it could happen) and everything in between. Momentum and confidence can turn so quickly, if they get a good result - and they need it a lot more than we do - then it could affect us for a few games afterwards. I really hope and have faith that it won't happen, but we've ballsed things up from seemingly great positions before way too often for me to have confidence that it won't happen again.

Sounds pessimistic i know but basically until we've safely navigated this match (and i mean that we could even lose, but recover and win our next few games - i would consider that ok) then my crystal ball is cloudy..

I think we will finish second, comfortably.
 
I didn't post in that thread, but I'm fairly certain I'd have gone playoff loss.

And I've not changed.... mainly because I don't want to jinx the bleeder.
 



I reckon we will be runners up. Charlton are odds on as champs and we are way clear with games in hand. Pigs and Hudders are wobbling.
We will have played most of the top teams by this weekend. I'm hoping by the time we play Stevenage away we will be promoted.
