Sponsors wanted "outside of the betting sector"

Sponsors wanted "outside of the betting sector"
May be because a main sponsor is a betting sector business and part of their agreement is no other betting companies can be promoted using the sufc brand? 😉

Another post by Paul Reeves says we will be working with Randox in the 22/23 season too so i expect they'll remain as our primary shirt sponsor next season.

Wasnt it said previously that the price didnt want betting sponsors for religious resasons?

Beerschot is the only club in Belgium without betting sponsor so I gues it’s indeed imposed by the owner. Not a bad thing but he needs to make up for the lost income. All other clubs are getting betting income and in the end it’s up to the government to lay out the boundaries of what betting companies are allowed to do.

If we had a betting sponsor we’d possibly have a chance of buying a shirt without sponsors 😉 (West Ham and Stoke do that from the top of my head)

I like the fact we don't have a generic betting sponsor. Fuck em.

funnily enough, Newcastle just released their kit and they stuck with their sponsor, for now at least. likely just honoring a contract
At a slight tangent their away jersey bears a striking (coincidental ?) resemblance to that of Saudi National team - skunk superstore in downtown Riyadh anyone ?

Betting is haram. But then again so is interest

This has been on social media a fair bit with people taking aim at the owners for it but if i was to take a guess id say this is a brown-nosing exercise by Castore, they got the Newcastle contract and then within 6 months they had the richest club in the world on their hands

One reason the club may also be looking at non-betting alternatives is I recall seeing Betting sponsorships are due to be banned from season after next, I think it was.

Didn’t Castore do similar with Wolves where the away kit was pretty much the Portuguese kit

That’s why interest is ‘ expected return’ on shariah accounts, the expected return is always coincidentally close to the interest rate on non- shariah accounts though 🤷🏻‍♂️

Just having a mess around on a midweek night.

Collar different shade of red for contrast

Gone for stylised club badge to add black to front of shirt.

Moved errea branding to sleeve, again to add black (best I could make it look with design software) Double errea branding replaces red stripe from sleeve seem, leaving room below for league badge etc.

Player numbers outlined in gold.

We signed up with Randox for three years so it's not that. More likely is that betting is taboo to the owners.
It's not a bad thing to stay clear of either. I mean it's a family thing supporting the club. Having kids exposed to it isn't great. I can see football generally being 'encouraged' to step away from Betting over time.
