Can't see us investing anywhere near the numbers that Bournemouth did. If you mean can we go up, yes, but not in the same way.

Quite a few similarities, one season to adjust, Brewster or McBurnie score a Solanke amount of goals Berge and Ndiaye too good for the second tier and a solid back line.

Or am I dreaming?
We'd also need to get gifted about 16 points from ridiculously biased refereeing decisions.

Can you imagine that? Us? Lols

In terms of going back up at second attempt. Yes we can. Won't be easy obviously, and unfortunately we will not have Bournemouth's billions.

We must be one of the favourites to go up though, which should attract some of the best (realistic) available players/transfer targets. Loads of out of contract players in EFL.

We are a very attractive club for Premier League teams to loan to as we have a history of getting the best out of them (Henderson, MGW), should be challenging at the top end of the table and will be playing in front of 25,000+ crowds every week.

If we can now somehow afford to buy a whole new squad mid season then yes we are exactly the same.

It depends. MGW will be very hrd to replace, and we'll need to keep the likes of Berge.
Agree about MGW but when Brewster and Bogle were playing alongside him he didn’t have to carry us like he did toward the end of the season.

See these sorts of thinking's every season but every year the league is different.
Same in the PL although it's fair to assume that Man City or Liverpool are more than likely to be the winners next season. But outside the top 6 it can be random.

We have a good basis to build from in terms of our squad and where/how we finished.
MGW did make us tick and had that bit of quality to turn games in our favour but we also were not a one man team.
We will have to adapt a little without him unless we sign a player who plays a similar way.

But it's going to be how this team is built/looking come the end of the transfer window. Retain the better players and sign a few to improve and we could be in for a good season. Even selling one of our assets (Let's say Berge) and re-investing wisely some of the fee and we could still be in for a good season.

It will be about getting enough quality in the squad and the balance right. I do feel Hecky's done quite well trying to balance the squad better.
But we are certainly a few players short currently going into next season as it stands.

we also were not a one man team
Our attacking output was heavily dependent on MGW playing well and/or creating something.

I'm hoping that someone else (Ndiaye?!) will step up to the plate next season but the MGW sized hole is a lot bigger than the Henderson sized one we had the other year.
