>Panini used to promise that all stickers were made in equal number
f**kin' reight liars.. mario kempes from the 78 book was as rare as an original Bugatti :D

That was the World Cup 78 album. They did all 16 teams who qualified, plus a handfull of stickers for non-qualifying teams (including England). I got stuck on Trevor Brooking (ooh err missus).

The Italia 90 sticker book was my favourite because players like Enzo Schifo and Andreas Brehme seemed so exotic. The best cards I ever collected though came with World Soccer magazine for the tournament and they were World Cup Greats so you had Jairzinho, Cruyff, Yashin, Muller...

Does anyone remember Merlin sticker books?

you're dead right Darren.. bravo.. i've still got a few of the books (completed).. they're worth f**k all (i once looked on ebay).. did you get mario kempes then?? :D

My first album, "The wonderful world of Soccer Stars Picture Stamp Album 1971/2 First Division" (15p) sits on the shelf in my office.

SUFC stickers (you had to stick them on with glue thought the badges were proper stickers) are:

Len Badger
John Barnwell
Frank Barlow
Eddie Colquhoun
Graeme Crawford
Tony Currie
Bill Dearden
John Flynn
David Ford
Ted Hemsley
Trevor Hockey
Dave Powell
Gil Reece
Geoff Salmons
Alan Woodward

all wearing the classic R&W stripes with round red collar and Sheffield badge, black shorts and white socks.

I remember the ultra rare one was Geoff Strong of Coventry and eventually I persuaded my parents to send off for it.

Boys boys boys.... they now have match attax cards.... and you can play top trumps with them.
Purely amazing.

We often sit in the pub now playing top trumps.... word to the wise, get Scott Parker

Against my better judgement, I listened to Football Heaven last night. The resident Wednesdayite hosting it (Rob Staten?) allowed numerous moaning pigs to ramble on. Then a Blade came on in response to Smegson saying 'United have a £3m striker...' etc.

The caller made a few salient points along the lines of 'At least we pay our bills, taxman etc.'

He was given short shrift by Staten and the conversation was swiftly moved on (back to Wednesday). Bloody rude he was.

So Seth the Pig has gone and been replaced by another oinker. Is being a Wednesdayite in the job description?

His user name on porktalk was Indiana , then his own name , he was probably the most balanced poster of them all , but originally he reported on the Millers
Yeah he is deffo a pig but was one of the( if not the )more sensible posters on there

The presenters do seem a bit "off" with Blades caller. That would explain it. Bladesway thinks we've all got chips on our shoulders. Couldn't give a flying f**k who they support but they ought at least to come clean
