Football heaven presenter, Seth Bennett, last night, Tuesday 13th Dec

He said, and I quote 'I remember fighting the next door neighbour for the [Panini] Sheffield Wednesday badge'.

No further questions M'lord.

lol

To be fair, I wouldn't convict Seth of being a pig on such sparse evidence. If you collected Panini stickers, you'd go to great lengths to complete your collection.

However, fighting over a pig badge is something a Blade would never do. We can be sure he's not one of us.

You're not wrong!

I remember battling several classmates for a Swindon Town sticker that I needed to complete my book.

Funnily enough though, I've never been accused of supporting Swindon!

Was there need to fight? If memory serves I completed the classic Football '78 by sending off for my final 6 stickers.

It was obviously to early for Panini to do an Ice Hockey album.

Blah blah blah. All local media hate us. Blah blah blah, YEP hate us. Blah blah Calendar never show us. Harry Gration supports Leeds, Christa Ackroyd is doing Harry Kewells dads dog.

They do a job, they have no bias. In fact they probably don't actually give a fuck about who is doing what and which club does what.
Christ its embarrasing sometimes.

Such behaviour was frowned upon and regarded as "cheating" down our way...

I used to swap all my Wednesday stickers with gullible pigs who gave me 2 for 1...

I heard the Seth comment about the Wednesday badge. The bloke is tedious beyond belief and throws things in like this to provoke a reaction. He's 33 but pontificates as if he's 63 and seen and done it all.

Bladesway you're talking out of your rear end. I personally don't give a flying fig whether the media is biased one way or another, we're not all paranoiacs. Seth does try to give the impression that he's a Wendy, whether or not this is an attempt to cover up that he's actually a Blade, what he is, is boring. I heard him on a Radio 5 discussion last week with other football types and when out of his Radio Sheffield comfort zone he was pretty lightweight to say the least.

Recently I've tuned in less and less to Football Heaven not because of the barmy callers but due to the turgid presenters.

Seth went to school with my son and he used to wear a pig shirt but I guess even in those days he was probably wearing it to cover up he was blade and for that reason he probably avoided going to BDTBL and went to Swillsborough so no-one would find out his true allegiance. I myself have had ST for over 40 years for the Blades but I only do this to hide the fact I'm really a Wendy fan.:D

Journalists can and do show bias, its human nature but it is unacceptable to be biased and pretend otherwise. Just think he's a nob
Jeff Stelling hides the fact that he is a Hartlepool fan very well:) you would never know

So he's a Pig who cares, he's just a tad tedious. Be a bit less controversial if he just nailed his colours to the mast instead of just "teasing" us  Bladesway "chip" wtf you on about ?

Panini used to promise that all stickers were made in equal number so that you didnt spend loads buying pack after pack of swaps when you only needed Ian Ormondroyd. But I had a theory that they used to fix it so that different stickers were sent to different parts of the country so that Sunderland was awash with spare Gary Pallisters while down south we had more Anders Limpars than we knew what to do with.

I managed to complete Football 78 and as United were in the 2nd Division, you only got a team photo and badge for them (the team photo was 2 years out of date strangely enough and featured, amongst others, Bill Dearden). Wednesday being in the 3rd Division were completely off the radar.

Ill swap you a David Batty...

I always had trouble getting Thomas Hauser as well.

I have my cousins old Football 78 somewhere. When I started getting stickers (my first was Football 89) they only did the First Division teams so United werent in them at all. But I also used to collect these Barratts cards which came with little white candy sticks and they did lots of players from outside the top flight and I remember how excited I got when I got cards with Brian Deane and Tony Agana on them! I didnt know joy like that again until Holly Coleman tugged me off on my 16th birthday.

A bit earlier than you, but Watford's Brian Talbot was someone I had dozens of. So many I binned them as unswappable only to discover I'd never actually stuck the bastard in. How I hate him.

I still buy stickers off ebay for my uncompleted American Football 89 Panini album. I enjoy putting stickers in as much now as I did then...

There, easily fixed.

I can't remember my "sticker" years to the exact year but it must have been 71-72 ish. Got the lot but my mate never managed to get Mick Mills at all, a tragedy for him at the time but made quite sweet when MM became a snorter in later years.

I've got a few Batty's I need Kanchelskis.

I did really well on the ProSet cards, got all of the Blades ones, then I showed a lad (Blade) a couple of years older than me my Brian Deane card and he nicked it, tried to get it back but he gave me a bit of a hiding
**** Bullying Alert: Darren/ Tarq's we need to stamp this out****

I see him nowadays, I think that was the highlight of his life.

Pro Set pissed me off. Id been looking forward to United finally being in a sticker book when we went up but then that season all the kids went nutty over these Pro Set cards. I got all the United ones even though they did the bare minimum for a top flight side of 11 (I think Arsenal and Everton had 20 odd cards each) and still have a load of spares. I never completed Pro Set that season though, I was 6 cards short.

The next season I remember Pro Set branching out and doing cards with fixture lists and even referees on them.

"Swap you Paul Durkin for Derek Mountfield"

"Piss off"

f**kin' reight liars.. mario kempes from the 78 book was as rare as an original Bugatti :D
