errea are usually pretty good with supply but there has been the odd time when they’ve not produced as quick as they should have. Bit worried that nothing has been said about this yet..

Errea are still shite. Caravan park, market stall rubbish. Dropping adidas for it as well is even worse. Shocking decision by the club.

I completely disagree.

In the whole, Adidas have been a shite manufacturer... mainly because we aren't anywhere near a big enough team to have any sort of say.

I am all for identity and individuality and Adidas won't ever deliver this for us! Instead we have to settle for predictable stock templates..... The monies received by the club aren't that great either.

Adidas don't make Sheffield United.... Sheffield United make Sheffield united....

If Errea give us freedom in creating our own image again, then I am all for it. I don't give a toss about the Adidas logo.....

If the new Errea deal delivers a better financial package for the club then fantastic.....

I don't get this love in with Adidas..... they haven't delivered a memorable shirt that will forever stay with us..... just overpriced, stock template shite....

Can you imagine what our board will come up with if they're designing the shirts!!??
God help us.
They seem to fuck everything else up, this gives them the perfect opportunity to capitalize on their hopelessness!

IMO adidas have produced some great shirts. The pink away shirt or green and gold were both unique. Whilst i didnt love the pink one it was clearly unique. The green and gold specifically was really classy with the mono badge that gave it prestige.

People moan about templates then throw their toys out the pram when anything that isnt basic red & white stripes is presented. To please everyone isnt possible but Adidas have produced a nice mix of templated red and white stripes with some slightly unique of piste shirts as well.

Brands like Adidas and Nike add value to the club brand hence why the big boys use them. Errea does not it is simpy a budget kit supplier. Adidas has heritage and prestige that Errea just doesnt have. Its like trying to argue that a Fiat is better than a Porsche. The Porsche has value and brand equity that fiat will never have, same for Adidas.

A lot of people (myself included) wont want to wear tatty budget branded top for the same reason i wouldn't wear a lonsdale/gola/everlast branded top. The Errea brand devalues the sheffield united ‘brand’ in my opinion and for that reason i can’t see how they will sell enough to compete with the Adidas ones.

I disagree, I've loved quite a few of the addidas shirts and bought more of these ones over the last few years than any of the others, surely the duffy bounce killer shirt is in the memorable club ,obviously the match it was worn in helps but I think it's a great shirt all the same

Adidas*

Cautiously optimistic by the suggestions we’ll have something unique that’s produced. We generally speaking are producing some great stuff that we have creative control over – our recorded video content is really good now, as are our social channels, and while there’s some work to be done perhaps with fan engagement they do tend to be taking note on what fans like. Unitedites buying up Shoreham St Magnifique retro shirts? Let’s bring out our own versions. Unitedites buying up Arty Bianco’s United artwork? Let’s get them designing all the matchday programme covers. They’ll know about the frustrations re: Adidas’s solid backs, as they were giving the excuses for that to all the local press last summer, so were clearly very aware. Fingers crossed it’ll be a decent one.

All depend who is designing them!

Not the greatest kit supplier… but the return to stripes on the back is / will be welcoming. If the supplier stuff is kept minimal unlike macron who plastered the logo everywhere it could be ok.
Just fuck right off with the white collar and cuffs you Stokie bastards! It's red! Gettit? Red! RED!!! Fucking RED!

I know it's only a mock-up but can we just do away with the black pinstripe edging please and take a leaf out of Brentford's book. Plain red and white stripes with stripes on the sleeves AND the back.

Black pin stripes make our shirts look way better than that. I nerdily created a poll a year or two ago on it & the support for pinstripes was overwhelming.

Stir reporting that we are looking at a single kit supplier for United World and are inviting tenders, they mention Errea as possible front runners due to them paying a lump sum up front rather than dictated by sales.

Would be sad to see Adidas go and I would prefer to be associated with a bigger name but looking at some of their kits they do a nice stripe!

Are we moving from Adidas or is Adidas moving from us?!?

probably all made in the same factory let's be honest

Adidas kits for the large part have been dull and uninspired, and cost twice as much as they should

This would be sensational news
There's no way someone is sat thinking of a design right now though. Will have been signed and sealed weeks ago for production etc to happen. The stir's article is as per usual either old news or stretching the actual situation for a click.

Errea is made in Italy, Adidas is made in various countries across Asia.

Disagree about being dull and uninspired. Pink kit was not dull and the green and gold was the nicest i’ve seen in a long time.

You pay for what you get. Same with fashion, you can go sports direct and buy a wardrobe of Gola/Everlast for the same price as one item from Adidas/Nike but doesn't mean that sports direct is better value. You are definitely paying for a name but also better quality, fit, textile, longevity & technologies.

I really like the new Juve shirt and think something similar would make a cracking away kit. The stripes are made up of hundreds of triangles.
Shouldn't be too much trouble for Errea to recreate something similar, perhaps using 100's of mini Blades badges??
