Burnley relegated

Think we could do some damage next season if we keep most of them together. Expect Berge, Baldock and Jebbison (Everton or Leeds) to go.

We need more pace and athletically gifted players. Ease out Fleck and Norwood. Build the tram around NDaiye and Brewster.

Can’t see who’s going to do a Fulham.
Its imperative that we keep our best players, and add players to the squad because if not, we will be near the bottom, on the same trajectory that I have witnessed since watching the blades since 1964, selling our best players, it's no wonder, we have never won anything.

They keep calling it a family club, but they always sell the family silver, they don't care about the fans.

Burnley's relegation makes the Championship a slightly easier prospect, especially if Forest get promoted.

In terms of how well placed we are to take advantage of that, given the players we have with us next year, a lot depends. If we can keep some key players, and use the fact that we really helped MGW progress his career with us to leverage a loan signing of a similar calibre, then also purchase a couple of key players (potentially using a sale to raise funds) we should be in a great position.

Over to Hecky and the board to get the team in place now! And sort thr training ground to stop injuries affecting our season again.

Sunderland? They shithoused their way past those jokers from across the city. Don’t let their big crowds blind you to the toilet football they played most of the tie.

An upcoming league one team of Duffys, flecks and JO’Cs they most certainly aren’t.
Maybe but will they buy some decent players just as we did ?

Heart said wanted weeds to go down but head said Burnley might be less of a threat but also its 15 minutes drive from my house to Turf Moor so happy days !

Championship will be interesting next season. I could see only 1x relegated club going back up to the PL (Watford), whereas i think more recent teams who've been PL like WBA, Swansea and Stoke will have resurgences, I could also see Coventry challenging with Mark Robins, and Sunderland will be top 6 IMO.

I've not got a clue where we'll end up. With a good window and keeping majority, we could be top 2. Fire sale (Egan/Brewster/Berge/Bogle/Ndiaye/Jebbo) we could be in for a difficult season
Norwich ?

Teams coming down are nowt to be scared of. And watching the L1 this season and the play offs, teams coming up don't carry much threat. We have a chance. And Turf Moor is a good trip over via Sowerby Bridge...

Surprised Burnley haven’t done anything to Turf Moor in over 20 years. That away end is pretty much the exact same as it was the last time I went in 2006.

I think its the best result for us , hopefully the 3 who come down wont be the strongest
I was rooting for Burnley down, had we been in the play off final I would have wanted Burnley to stay up! On a similar note, I personally hope Forest go up, as painful as that will be to see them celebrate like they've won the European Cup again, there's no doubt in my mind that Forest will still be strong next season. Granted they'll probably lose Johnson if they don't go up, he'll warrant a fee of around £20m which they'll invest into the team and they'll still be very strong with Coopers PL loan contacts. Spence will go and that'll weaken then but I still would fancy Forest to be right up there next season, their owner has invested already in the team I can't see that stopping yet, especially with Johnson funds.

I reckon 12 months ago fans on championship club forums wrote exactly this

Fast forward 12 months - 2 go up auto and we make playoffs

The poor premier league team is still a very good championship side

See Norwich, Fulham, Bournemouth perennially

Also us, down by Xmas, zero confidence Slavs start, half a season without a striker and still make playoffs!!

Burnley will loose Pope, Tarkovski, Cornet for certs

But may still have Barnes, Vydra, McNeill, Cork, Rodriguez, Lowton, Brownhill and possibly Weghorst - that’s a strong team against most championship teams

Well, West Brom did prove they were nothing to be scared of didn't they.

Interesting appointment that. Expect a load of man city talents to go on loan to burnley.
What’s your thought on him? Had a lot of backing but underachieved or you think he was doing ok?

I think he got the best out of Anderlecht. They have had financial constraints the last years with huge debt. His start was not the best as he wanted to copy man city but with some crap players he got a lot of stick. But last season with a squad he built the results and football were good to fantastic. I also think he is more made for the English game. I can see him being successful and attracting young talented players.

Didn't they play in Europe a couple of seasons back? More than we ever have
Who mentioned us? There a team that always float around the bottom 5, out of the 8 seasons they've had in the prem they finished 19th 16th 17th 18th twice & 15th. There two most successful seasons was 10th and 7th, depends how you see playing in Europe they didn't qualify for the Europa league propa as they lost in the play off against Olympiacos.

Me, I mentioned us. I would have loved us to finish 4th bottom 6 years running instead we got relegated. Terrific feat for them to stay in top flight as long as they did with a smallish fan base. So for them to qualify for the preliminary rounds in Europe yes Olympiacos are a European team was better than anything we have achieved like it or not.

I'd rather be a top ten championship side winning a good amount of games every season than scrape survival for six years straight

Understand what you're saying but finishing mid table in championship is just as boring as just surviving in diving league
