did the guy in the black t shirt up there get to them forest fans. i thought he were going to kill them

As soon as the box to the right took offence their arse soon dropped out and the flag was scrunched up as fast as they could get it away. Why would anyone think that would be a good idea?

Whoever bought that box , it was 1600 for 10 of them in there as I saw during the week mooching over on the LTLF forum they were chatting about it on one of the threads 👍

Fair enough some folk saying they don't see owt wrong with it/they'd do it/don't get wound up by it but in fairness, they were in the box pretty much nearest the Kop, brought a flag out and were purposefully trying to bait and wind up the home fans with gestures etc, is that not a little bit twattish? It won't keep me up at night but I'd think it's equally twattish to suggest it's not.

Oh it’s definitely twatish, I doubt anyone disagrees with that.

Only one of them was pissed up, with the rest of them being respectful. I gave them a Scarborough warning, and his friends were sound, but they couldn’t keep him quiet. Shame really, because the rest of them were sound.

Fair enough pal. I still doubt they'd brought their large "Hucknall Reds" Forest flag into the box nearest the Kop planning to quietly use it as a tablecloth.

Location of the box is all down to whos box it is to sell on. They can't sell the box then ask to swap with a company near the away end.

Flag unveiling etc. Very twattish behaviour and not fitting with the etiquette of corporate tickets

Being a playoff game, I don’t think it’d be any company’s box to sell on. Don’t they have to buy them again for matches like this?
The forest fans probably paid the club direct and then the company with their name still on the box get the blame.

I know bud- I just meant their being nearer the Kop just made the goading and flag waving even more twattish

How did forest manage to get tickets for an executive box ?
We make it v difficult for our fans to get tickets yet allow them into an execution box.
They pissed me off for some strange reason. They'll have got a box for paying for it, simple as that. Didn't notice them in the second half.

So people from Sheffield with no purchasing struggle to buy single tickets but Forest fans get a box next to the Kop 😀

Sounds about right.

It’s not illegal for anyone from any part of the country to buy tickets to a game in the home end.

It’s certainly not illegal for them to also pay for a box

Clubs and the police put segregation and geographical restrictions in place, but I’m not actually sure that is legal either - so they try to ensure they get around this by selling to members or to people with previous purchasing history.

So I’m not sure about the outrage as to why they were in a box

It’s twattish behaviour to act a twat in a predominantly home end. Even in a box where you think you’re protected

Big group of lads waiting outside the entrance on JS after the game for them, but they must have already made their getaway

I've sat in away executive boxes before. What's your point?
Me too, even got an invite into the directors box at Forest once and also the members bar at Forest for another game due to a mate. All went fine for me even though people knew I was a Blade. That said I didn’t bring a big fuck off Blades flag with me so that probably helped!

The club didn't decide to send them tickets.
The box can be rented by anybody, lent to customers etc.

I don't think anybody is suggesting it wasn't twatish, and it wound me up at the time.
Likewise, people suggesting they need ground bans need to get grip on football reality.

Correct.

The annual charge for the boxes cover all home games and any cup games up to the QF stage. Any games outside of these have to be purchased separately. What's probably happened is the owner of the box hasn't decided to take up the option for whatever reason and therefore the box became available for someone else to purchase.

Speaking as someone that regularly took advantage of the corporate facilities at Reading and QPR I have no problem with this.

I do have issues with Forest fans acting like knobs in our corporate facilities though.

Whilst I have celebrated away goals and wins in the above mentioned grounds I have never done so in such a disrespectful manner to my hosts.

Two completely separate issues at play here.

Agree bit twatish

But

Imagine we go 2-0 up on Tuesday night, and you glance across at the exec boxes to see a group of 10 blades cheering and cracking out a flag

Do you tell them to pipe down, stop been disrespectful to our hosts and go have a nice cup of tea to calm down

Or do you break into a rendition of na na na na heza blade an heza blade - paying respect to the infiltration of enemy territory??

I used to get wound up by shit like this, now just crack a smile and think fair play ya cunts, hope we pay it back Tuesday

Think people are missing the point here.

There's nothing wrong with away fans being in the home ends or home executive box.....many of us have done it but there's an etiquette of respect.
If you're in the home end and your team score.....you don't stand up cheering then actively goading the home fans.

This would be antagonistic behaviour and will often result in someone from the home end punching you in the face.
Then it can escalate into a mass brawl. The owner of the box should be reminded of their responsibility and behaviour.

conditions of renting the box will specify no colours, flags etc and to respect others. I have been in corporate boxes and although I don't remember the wording verbatim it is along those lines. However, if some of our lads got into a box at the City ground and did the same they would be hero's.

That said, the florists should have got a slap because that show it works.
