3.3 The Visiting Club shall have the right to claim 2,000 tickets for use by its supporters (or such number as represents 10% of all tickets reserved or otherwise sold in advance, if less than 2,000). The following conditions shall apply:

Correct the 10% refers to less than 2,000. So it is a mystery why we have given Florist an away allocation equal to 10% of ground capacity. Having said that we have club staff that didn't read the rules correctly when it came to signing overseas players!!

An explanation is required but as the current policy is radio silence on controversial matters then we'll have to wait for the whispering classes to come up with conspiracy theories. I can't believe the reason is in an effort to get an increased away allocation from 2k to 3k we have sacrificed the whole of the Westfield corner and part of the BLUT. It just doesn't make sense.

Irrespective of who made the decision the hand of SAG is influencing decisions. If we get the extra 1,000 from Florist you can guarantee the segregation will amount to a small section no bigger than a few rows at the City Ground. Yet no such similar arrangement will be made at BDTBL whereby we can sit in the WC segregated from the BLUT. Allocating just 2 sections on the BLLT will not make up for the total number lost in the BLUT and WC.

On field performance is being hampered by off field decisions. We need the ground to be rocking like to-day. Yet all this seems to do is dilute that. We have been allocating 2,750 seats this season for the larger followings in the BLLT. So for the sake of giving Florist an increased allocation of less than 500 we have created all this disruption, bizarre?
Nutshell, None of it makes sense. That said I’ve secured a lovely seat in the middle of the south stand. My non singing cohorts in the Westfield will have to find a new quiet section.

Bloody annoyed at this. Why should we be booted out of the Upper Corner? My son is added on my account but it wouldn't let me buy for him. It was ok for me to renew season ticket for him so why not for this? It said I had exceeded the number of permitted tickets and so I had to remove his before I could even get my own. He is out tonight so don't have his log in details to get onto his account so even if he gets one now it won't be with me. A bit like the midweek match v Millwall the other year when they closed the BL end to all home fans to let the small number of Millwall enjoy all the BL end. Pathetic.
Did you remember to click on the little pencil and change the name to your son?

Anyone else getting "This event is no longer available for sale" when you try to add a ticket to your basket?

Edit - never mind, I can't read, it's not on general sale yet

Just what are the club doing here ! Will be a lot of angry season ticket holders.
Why have they given Bramall lane upper to florist ! Just don't get it.
Not giving South stand season ticket holders chance to claim there seat!
Just don't get that either.
Strikes me the club are scared of any trouble and caging forest up stairs kind of stops that.
Sledge hammer to crack a nut if that's the case.
No doubt it will effect the attendance ,very disappointing thing to happen.

I'd say it guarantees a sellout.

I can’t see that the club would fuck about with this, they must have been told to change the allocations.

Surely it would have been easier to allow season tickets holders to book their seats by Monday and use their cards. No sane person would concoct this plan up.

Why in the blue f*ck have they let Forest have the upper tier?! We would’ve easily have sold out again so now we let them get behind their team even more plus they’ll only give us about 2k knowing them. Stupid decision.

The pigs and Mackems are doing the whole 2k thing. Weird how we aren't. As others have said, an explanation is needed as to why we embarked on this course of action.

What - favour your own fans and help give any advantage to the your own team.

Nope we Blades will limit our own fans by 6k and give Forest fans an extra 1k than they will reciprocate.

I'm at a ventriloquism conference for the first leg. Gucking well gissed off. :(

Don’t think it’s a rule that’s driven this decision . The rule state:

3.3 The Visiting Club shall have the right to claim 2,000 tickets for use by its supporters (or such number as represents 10% of all tickets reserved or otherwise sold in advance, if less than 2,000).

So a 30000 capacity equals 3000 away tickets - which is the capacity of bramall lane lower.

They’ve reduced the capacity to about 25000 with this decision as it’s the United fans and team that will miss out
So how come Sunderland you only gave them 5% (2000)

Upper tier holds about 4500 and lower tier about 2900 so 1600 less United fans not 6k.

I'd say it guarantees a sellout.

It guarantees a practically empty BLLT because there will be restrictions on the number of fans able to buy tickets in there. You can bet your life on it.

My guess is the week will progress with most buying on the kop, John Street and Cherry Street, and then the plug will be pulled on BLLT

the only people I would wish sitting on the bl lower tier are away fans. It’s a shit view. Will be a max of 1500 on there with netting etc.

If that's correct and we've given them 3100 on the top tier, then there'll be approx 1500 empty seats on the upper tier alone? Must have been forced on the club this decision

Putting aside the capacity issues which are reducing the blades fans in attendance, the inconvenience and giving the away team an unnecessary boost, at the end of the day we want people to be safe. Its a bit surprising that putting away fans in the lower tier has been safe all season but for this one game it is unsafe. I wonder if SCC will explain why, just presume it was the scab fans running riot at the last game and the South yorkshire/durham Police being unable to properly police them

That’s Linz’s season ticket places gone before we’ve even noticed then :)

Nope... Got our normal seats sorted.

Had a look to see if there were any details on the off-chance just before 4pm. Half an hour queuing on the site and managed to get our ST seats.

It's a bit shit for everyone out celebrating to sneak out the sale. Could've announced that they were planning on doing it at the match at least.

They've got just under 3,200

Any reason they aren't activating season cards? I sit in the Kop but have had my card activated when I've bought a ticket in the South Stand before for cup games so that can't be the reason.

I can see it being a nightmare at the turnstiles because a lot of people won't realise it's mobile/print at home tickets only.
Can you imagine the card readers at our turnstiles dealing with printed QR codes soaked in ale next Sat ?
Worra fuckin joke SUFC - you have 22,000 ST holders - just activate their feckin plastic cards you ticket office tossers
