So apparantly Britton is better than Xavi....

I've never understood what's so good about these stats. Who cares if a defender or a midfielder makes loads of short sideways and backwards passes?

Never thought this would need explaining on a football forum but there you go. Keeping the ball is key to success. Its why we went down from the Premiership because our instinct to play percentage football meant we gave it away as quickly as we got it. If you have the ball, then the opposition don't. Us having the ball central midfield has been quite a novelty until recently.

Obviously you need more than jus this but it helps. We haven't had it for years, hence we struggled.

The only conclusive point to make here is that a player of Britton's class was totally lost at Bramall Lane which is as damning an indictment as your likely to find of how shit we were and the incompetency of the managers we employed.

See Ched's resurgance and the amount of goals scored by Billy Sharp for further evidence for the prosecution.

Can't argue with that tickler. Your obviously of good footballing stock rather than having lump hammers for feet :)

Regardless of what you think about how he did at the lane, he is getting massive plaudits for his performances in a Swansea side that are more then holding their own against some of the best teams in the country.

The same can be said of Nathan Dyer; another player who came and went quickly around the same time only to prove a massive success at Swansea.

It may well be related to the with the way Swansea play; Jason Scotland was unplayable at Swansea but has really struggled since leaving in much the same way that Britton and Dyer struggled at the lane.

Excatly Jodman. Rogers is building a great platform to kick on from where they are now, just think what they coulld be like once they've got some better players in. Let's hope they don't succumb to second seaon syndrome

As far as i recall, Dyer got 1 start and scored in it. Another one you can blame blackwell for.
