"Can we get 3 at Sheffield United? This would mean we break the all time second division scoring record set by Manchester City in 2002 of 108!"

Can anyone confirm this really would be the "all time" second division record? Or would it be the record since the second division was renamed?
It's not the all time record. That's 122 by Middlesbrough in 1926-7, a 42 game season.

This creation of new records because they changed the name is pathetic. Plus in any event City did it before they changed the name.

Arrogant bastards. But you cant really blame them, they're on cloud 9 having have just won the league in pure style and will expect to beat anyone.

We just need to get into them from the off, and hopefully they're a bit knackered from the week's celebrations and are playing a less than full strength team. We can and have obviously beaten a full strength Fulham on our day, but that would just make things easier.

no more arrogant or cocky than anyone else given their current sitch. but who gives a flying one - it's all on us - if we raise our game we can win.

Confident bunch as might be expected. Let’s see how good our back 5 are tomorrow and then hope to pinch something. If we try and play attacking football they’ll take us to pieces.

Well done.

Someone should put this piece of info on the toffee-nosed, nonce statue-loving promotion-buying shit stadium twats' forum

That little turd of a club hasn’t generally enjoyed venturing up to nasty Sheffield United’s ground. Just 5 wins in 33 visits - they usually don’t really fancy it.

Moreover, this ‘best team the Championship has ever seen’ hasn’t really cut the mustard when coming up against the better teams in the division. Drew with Bournemouth twice, lost to Forest, lost to Huddersfield, and lost to United.

Granted they been an excellent ‘flat-track bully’ and thrashed a lot of the dross in the division but they don’t really register amongst some of the best sides who’ve gone up from the Championship in recent years.

After reading your comments I'm not even looking at it.

Humility is a lost art on some fans

I can remember when they were a team the size of Leyton Orient averaging 4k fans, the most famous of whom was Wolfie Smith.

Really starting to dislike the arrogant twats now.

Isn’t this why we love the game?
Could get smashed tomorrow, could play a blinder and win and grab 5th spot.
We just need to get behind the lads and do our bit to help them.
Absolutely with you on this.

I've said before, you get the glory but being a City/Liverpool must be fairly boring. Where's the league drama

Can't blame Fulham for being on such a high, they can play with absolute freedom knowing if we even put 10 past them, who really cares. Their stats will drop but they're still Champions.

For me Hecky goes in unchanged and that 11 for me is perfectly capable, they just need to be really up for it tomorrow. As per the Blades we know it's going to be an exciting end to the season whether that's tomorrow or extended in to the play offs.

You’ve collected 90 points from 45 games, standard promotion numbers
Yep - (average 2 per game) and we've collected 52 points from 26 games under Hecky - I've not checked but I suspect Fulham haven't done as well in the last 26 games.

I was never more certain of victory in 2006-7 than when we played them at the Lane. Night game in the north? Not the sort of game they were going to win.

"Any idea of playing youngsters in our final game could be blown away by the prospect of the U23s playing in their Cup Final. "

Are their U23's playing Wednesday at Hillsborough?! 🤔

As confident as you might expect, but boy do their fans need bringing down a peg or two. They are a good side, but not as good as their fans think they are.
Thanks Roy.

Thanks Roy.

Cocky fuckers, we need the real United to turn up & ram those views back where they came from!

I don't mind a bit of confidence but that is just arrogance & while they are good they are not that good.

Aren’t they one of those clubs that rely at home on those cardboard clapping things, like Leicester and Bournemouth. They might find it difficult to take control of any atmosphere if they haven’t been

As far as I know, the only cardboard clapping things at Fulham are their supporters. 2-1 to The Blades methinks.

BTW - thanks Roy for the exceptional effort you've put into the "Views from" this season.

Cheers roy, always look forwards to these, just 3 more this season then put your feet up for a few days

'It would be very unfair and disrespectful to other teams if we put out a weakened team'.

I can't remember them complaining when Liverpool put out a weakened team against them in 2007.

Thanks Roy. Hope there's more Views From .... this season

"Also, we wouldnt want to be accused of trying to influence the outcome of the playoffs by not taking the last game seriously!”

That's rich, given that they sent us down in 2007 by having the good fortune of Liverpool play a reserve side against them on the final day.
Wasn't the final day, but those 3 points would have sent them down I think.

Whatever happens tomorrow, I am glad that this team have regained their self-respect.
End of last season and start of this one, they looked so whipped it was painful to watch them. But I have been to some awesome games in past few weeks.
Just go out there and play, lads
