Worth pointing out that the club has a tendency to magic up new available seats. So don’t be surprised if another 50 pop up in the JSS corner or somewhere.

Usually concession returns. They've surfaced in the South and Family Stands to-day.

384 left means there should be about 31,750
But there won't be
The last block of the Bramall Lane end (John Street side) and most of the last block of the kop haven't been on sale yet. Plus the restricted view seats. These are always held until everything else goes.

My only worry is that when we have big crowd's and it's something special to play for the game is usually rubbish. Fingers crossed its different on Saturday

We've had "big " crowds all season, average is 27,465 so few extra thou wont make much difference in the grand scheme of things, regarding us going into our shell.

It will be a tense afternoon no question about that tho.

Around 350 tickets left at 11 pm 4/05/22.unless any restricted view tickets come up.

In the PL last season our capacity was a touch over 32,000 but that's giving away fans 2,900 tickets.
Now we're not in the PL SAG put netting over the front 2 rows of the away end, so we only sell a max of 2,500 to away fans now.

I reckon official capacity is 31,400 this season.
Surely even by Fulham poor standards....any team winning the league can shift 2.500 away tickets.

I reckon Saturdays attendance should defintely break 31K.

For anyone wanting a better seat or to sit together 50 plus seats in both family and south stands have been put out online this morning. Probably returned concessions. Approx. 400 seats left for Blades at the moment.

Someone on here said they'd sold about 2,500 the other day. No idea if true.
Not aimed at you Avalon, its a general response to all knocking their support. I don't think knocking their support is a viable argument when our sales for this very important game has been in a word pathetic, there are no arguments, every fan base has unemployed-live too far away-illness-too expensive etc, to not sell a few thousand after the total of season tickets and away fans is quite frankly very poor.

Not sure anyone has knocked their support mate, just an acknowledgment that they don’t generally travel in big numbers which is a fact

Why do you consider our sales to be pathetic. It’s looking very close to a sell out

Only at Sheffield United would you get supporters criticising the take up of tickets in circumstances where the gate is going to be over 31,000; where there are just a couple of hundred tickets left for sale which are in all likelihood mostly restricted view which are always going to be a particularly hard sell to the casual fan wanting to come to the last game of the season but who, by definition, is not as keen to part with money for a football match as the regular hardcore; and in a season in which United have topped the table for Championship gates with an average over 27,000.

Incredible.

Mind you, there used to be old men who sat in the old John Street Stand that moaned about Currie and said he wasn’t as good as Hagan, and called Edwards bone idle …whilst he was scoring outrageous amounts of goals.

We do have some incredibly contrary supporters…

Pathetic? Don’t be ridiculous. There are only a few hundred left - mostly single seats, some restricted view and some only just released. Odds are it will be a sell out or extremely close to one. We also have the highest average attendance in the Championship.

Edwards was bone idle by the way other wise he would and could have been as good as jimmy greaves if not better just couldn’t be bothered .

That'll probably have been my Dad or old Ivor Blakey* that sat in front of him.
Maybe even both.
At the same time.

*who, when we were particularly shit in 75/76, used to stand up from the front row of seats and bellow "Come on girls", stick two fingers up on both hands, turn around and walk out.
I have absolutely no doubt they could hear him on the pitch.

Oh, I know that…but whilst you might make the observation, it’s not something that sit grumbling about when he’s firing you to promotion.

I always remember when United used to have the ‘public’ pre-season training session in Graves Park in the early 80’s, that you would always see Edwards lagging at the back on the run through the park!

Put the ball in front of him in the opposition half on matchday, though, and he was the best finisher I’ve ever seen. When I think of the one-on-ones that United players miss - plenty just this season alone. Back in the day, you knew Edwards would score. Every time.

Never saw Currie, but went to his testimonial. I was stood next this old guy in the Kop who was telling me Currie wasn't "all that" and was lazy.

Not ridiculous just a fact, its only a view Deano, I think we should sell out for this one.

Maybe wait until the game to slag us off for not selling out. Typical Wednesday fan behaviour (1) attendances (2) shooting your boot early

Well I'm an old bugga and I think Currie is the best I've ever seen but very closely matched with Alex Sabella, but of course very different types of players. I thing Edwards is the only striker alongside Sharp and Deane and never pulled him down.
Please don't mix contrary with amazement at not selling out, it is such an important game with so much at stake that I really think the supporters should have sold this out, and there are about 500 tickets left. mainly not restricted view, there are tickets on every stand available. It's only an opinion LS16.

There we go, get verbally aggressive to an opinion different to your own, it's an opinion lad nothing else, and I do not get hung up on attendances like pigs, I just said my views are it should have sold out in a day.

I'm sure nobody is really bothered that the crowd could be 30k 31 k or 32 k unless your a insecure fc fan ,I've heard there's half a million of those world wide 😂

Yes I agree he was a great player for us at the time, my point is he could have been one of Thee greats of all time if he had had the Will to get there.

Nah it's half a million of them that attend Swillsboro each match....... Allegedly.

It's not as though we will get promotion if we win. If that was the case, we'd certainly sell out. This is a match that will determine whether we'll finish in the top six and enter an end-of-season competition that we have failed to win in seven previous attempts.

If you look at previous home legs of play-off semi finals, the attendances have been similar to our league games. When we're playing for automatic promotion we always sell out.

Given that, 31k is a very decent effort.

In the EFL 3 divisions, only one club has a better average attendance than us.
Who is it this clue will give it away, they play in red and white stripe shirts?
