Ndayie stepped up!

He’s had plenty of chances 1v1 and failed, that’s why he was dropped in the first place. He did it again at Bristol.

That said, it’s his first proper professional season and he’s really got something. But I think he’s had roughly the right amount of involvement personally.

2 starts and a 20 minute sub appearance in the last 3 games and he's scored 2 out of our 3 goals.
You can't argue with that return.

Hecky is managing our squad with a lot of injuries. That involves managing people. That he can leave people out and they are still ready to come in and play with passion shows good management Look at Baldock and Boogle at full time. Becky’s post match interview says it all.

Yep, but good to see that that miss vs Bristol City gave him a hunger to make his next chance count. And he did!

He’s Mbappe compared to that useless lump that was restricting our whole play while in the team.
Does make you wonder how N'Diaye would have done if he was preferred to McBurnie. He is "just a baby" on football terms, to quote Hecky. 5 goals is encouraging in a break through season and a few of them have been quality goals too.

Gives us something different, great finish today.
Hecky dropped a major bollock this season benching for so many games, particularly with issues up front.
Should have started many more games Imo!
I don't disagree that Ndiaye has been decent lately and chipped in with some very important goals. However, your post is another example of an ordinary fan thinking he knows better than the Manager who sees him every day in training, knows him very very well - his mental state, physical state etc etc. If we'd have had Hecky from the start of the season then his record indicates that we'd have been fighting it out with Fulham for top spot. Erm, I think I'll go with his opinion on who to play in matches, ta ;)

He was flogging at dead horse with Oli.

Obviously a McBurnie fan, compare what he’s brought to the team to what Ndayie has.Expect most “ordinary fans” would rather see a flair player who scores goals in the team.

Berge, N’Diaye and MGW behind Sharp is tasty AF.
I've been saying this for a while. I was also hoping to see this setup with Brewster in for Billy.

The major problem here is working out who comes out of the team, as our system with 5 at the back doesn't allow for 4 attackers.

With the attacking talent at our disposal it's a shame we've been unable to use it properly. I feel we could have been a lot more adventurous in our approach and thrown a lot more caution to the wind. Wes probably wouldn't have collected as many clean sheets but we'd have scored a lot more to compensate

To me a key difference between Ndayie is when he presses he does so without giving away silly fouls. He cuts off channels and quite frequently nicks the ball away from defenders All to do with fast feet
I've also noted this. Whilst he often loses the ball he does have the knack of nicking it back. Ideally I'd like to see him and MGW play just behind the striker (Billy?) but not sure where this leaves Berge, who for me was MOM yesterday.

Another one of our players who gets some unfair pressure from some of our fans. It’s his first ever season as a pro and he’s been in our top 5 players of the season.

Yes he’s missed a few easy chances, but who hasn’t? He’s also scored a lot of key goals, worked very hard for the team and created some brilliant chances.

The other way of looking at it is to say that Hecky is doing a good job of trying to get the best out of him. He’s a real talent but he’s been off it at times in terms of actual contributions to games. I don’t see today as a sign of Hecky screwing up, I see it as Hecky using him wisely.

Was saying to my pal yesterday, considering McBurnie is regarding as our best striker in the air, that header from Ndiaye was better than any McBurnie has scored for us

He's still learning and will be nowhere near consistent for a while yet. I thought he was poor first half but improved in the second. His decision making needs to be s lot better, but he'll learn.

Threads like this confuse me though as I don't think his general play has been that good over 90 minutes. Seems to be a thing on here now. Scores a couple, best player ever and the manager is an idiot for not playing him every game. Misses a couple and the manager is an idiot for playing him.
