Ndayie stepped up!

Was saying to my pal yesterday, considering McBurnie is regarding as our best striker in the air, that header from Ndiaye was better than any McBurnie has scored for us
McBurnie has scored for us?

I'm joking I don't want to turn this in to another McB bashing thread.

I'd like to see more investment in Ndiaye. In an ideal world it would be wonderful to have him, MGW, Berge and Sharp all on form in the team.

I'd really really like to see Brewster get involved and come good too, I don't know why but I just want him to hit his form and begin to be seen as something of a successor to Sharp as our goal scorer, I imagine Sharp will play till he physically can't anymore but that may not be far off. Hope not mind.

To me a key difference between Ndayie is when he presses he does so without giving away silly fouls. He cuts off channels and quite frequently nicks the ball away from defenders All to do with fast feet
Even though N’Diaye is blessed with so much talent...He’s a tough little bugger and not afraid to get stuck in...It’s a👍from me.

The other way of looking at it is to say that Hecky is doing a good job of trying to get the best out of him. He’s a real talent but he’s been off it at times in terms of actual contributions to games. I don’t see today as a sign of Hecky screwing up, I see it as Hecky using him wisely.
We’ve got enough players in the team who are predictable, players like Ndayie will frustrate at times of course but on their day are match winners, MGW is another one .Having 2 in a solid sometimes i inventive team is great and that’s what I want to see. Every time I see McBurnie in the starting 11 it gives me a negative feeling and I’m pretty sure the other 10 in the team feel the same way yet Hecky persists with him.His injury has come at a good time for the team😮

Second touch is a tackle, that said I like to be entertained and he's certainly got a bit of the X factor. Needs to be more consistent.

I've been saying this for a while. I was also hoping to see this setup with Brewster in for Billy.

The major problem here is working out who comes out of the team, as our system with 5 at the back doesn't allow for 4 attackers.

With the attacking talent at our disposal it's a shame we've been unable to use it properly. I feel we could have been a lot more adventurous in our approach and thrown a lot more caution to the wind. Wes probably wouldn't have collected as many clean sheets but we'd have scored a lot more to compensate
For my money the key to qualifying for and winning the play offs is being bold enough to lose a defender and trust the CBS to play as a 2. Stevens and Baldock are offering precious little in terms of progressing the ball so may as well sack that off and play them as proper full backs and leave the attacking to the flair players we have.

There's half a season of evidence to suggest this isn't the way forward. Our defenders aren't good enough at defending to make it work.

Great young player...call me mad but I've got a sneaky feeling one of the other youngsters Jebbo or Osula are going to make an impact before the play offs are done

I thought he was a bit on the (jogging about!) 'sluggish' side for the first 15-20 mins, then their players 'dark arts' tactics fired him up!, and from then he was a different player!, resulting in his (had enough of this shit!) scuffle with their defender and his goaaaaaal.
Still young, still learning, still improving and I'm still liking what I see, so far!.

Gives us something different, great finish today.
Hecky dropped a major bollock this season benching for so many games, particularly with issues up front.
Should have started many more games Imo!
Agree 100% , gives us something different , like MGW doesn’t always come off but a damn sight more creative & dangerous than what Mc Buirnie / Jebbison can offer .

I think he’s blummin marvellous. He’s got all the talent in the world and he works his flippin socks off every game. He just needs to work on his fitness and he’s got the potential to be a big big player for us.

I really rate the kid.

He’s played about the same number of games for us as David Brooks did but his stats are soooo much better than Brooksy’s.

Sometimes I don’t think he gets the credit he deserves.

He’s been managed really well. Made a big impact when he first came into the team and then faded pretty badly. A spell out of the team seems to have done him the world of good. If he can add consistent goals/assists to his excellent build up play then the sky is the limit for this kid.

Got brass bollocks this kid. Good job, he’s our ONLY hope of promotion.

Cramp again today when he came off. He is doing Ramadan.
Amazes me how players can do it without any water. Fair play to him!

He’s actually scored 3 during Ramadan. Maybe that extra focus required to get through it, has somehow helped him stick the ball in the net?

I think he's best used as a striker rather than just behind. He links well and seems to be in the game more than if he's deeper

Has to start every remaining game for us (unless we are in a position to rest against Forest). Said it after the Bristol City game he has to be our striker if Sharp isn't fit, nobody else has that telepathic understanding with MGW
