Heh ?
The link is to show that companies use the accountant as a registered address

ah right sorry its early.

That link makes it sounds even more dodgy then as generally companies of a certain size dont use their accountants address. Now Ive read it properly thats advice for "first time contractors". Now it is highly dodgy if Mr Mauriss does that.

Does anyone remember when we had an owner who gave a shit about Sheffield United?
To be fair you could say McCabe was, but that didn't turn out well for us. I'd say the Prince did too until his duties in SA got in the way.

I think football fans rightly have high expectations as to the intentions of their clubs owners when it comes to being as emotionally invested as we are, but it rarely works out that way, and in most cases the owners are just owners as with most businesses, its about money, success on the pitch = success in the bank account.

Well he does have money as he bid £350 million for Newcastle. Just put 200 million into the club and we will do well ;-)

"The owners of Sheffield United have reportedly accepted a £115million bid from American businessman Henry Mauriss to purchase the Championship club.

Mauriss attempted to buy Newcastle for £350m before a Saudi-backed consortium completed a takeover of the Toon in October. "

More info ...

Henry Mauriss, a billionaire with a net worth of $7 billion, has made an offer to buy Sheffield United. As word of the takeover spreads, his name has resurfaced on the internet.

In the United States, Henry Mauriss is a businessman. Clear TV Media is his company, and he is the CEO.

Mauriss was born in California and is described as a self-made man who has worked for various media outlets and credit card firms. Credit America Corporation was his previous company.

Henry Mauriss Net Worth In 2022 -Is He A Billionaire?

In 2022, Henry Mauriss's net worth is expected to reach billions. However, there are no specifics concerning his money available.
Because of his bids to buy the teams, he is thought to be a billionaire. In 2020, he proposed a £350 million investment in Newcastle. According to Athletic, despite multiple attempts to discuss the sale, it did not go through because then-owner Mike Ashley was baffled by the slow pace of the intended purchase.

My passion for negativity = I don’t want us to be taken over by a con artist 😂

When your research makes you think he owns a huge office building in downtown Cali, I can understand why you don’t bother..:
= every post you make comes off like you can’t wait for things to go tits up.

My research ≥ your research given that yours concludes an address on a website equates to his wealth. WTF is that for research… 😂

This may shock you so take a seat - spending a few hours finding stuff online doesn’t make you privy to the man’s profile, background or intentions. Or have you genuinely convinced yourself he’s a con artist on that very basis… 😂 (I know you like that emoji so included a couple… 😘)

He isn't a billionaire. That's absolutely evident. You can't hide money unless you're a drug lord

1. This house people keep going on about might not even be his. The other executive at ClearTV has the exact same address listed, so it’s more likely the address of a third party/proxy; likely their accountant. It’s incredibly unusual for anyone to list their home address on filings, especially someone who has little else about them anywhere else.

2. The office suite that people seem obsessed with is the registered company address. It’s literally a post box for any filings and isn’t necessarily the main hub of the business. Below is an image of a huge company’s registered address - looks pretty modest too right?

Maybe there is something fishy with this guy, but focusing on addresses isn’t going to answer any of this.

The key to is the proof of funds and any background checks as part of the legal agreements for sale. Given Giansiracusa is a Partner at Jones Day and that the Prince lives in California and will undoubtedly have a large network who knows this guy, we in theory, shouldn’t worry about the validity.

If it was McCabe; a man who’d been outmanoeuvred many times, was selling, I’d be more concerned.
But it’s exhibit A in Lewisham’s highly detailed and complex investigation.

We'll be sold but not to this guy, it's a front for either another buyer who is already lined up, or to push them into moving things along.

I think he was just used to up the Newcastle Saudi deal by being the other bidder.

You really don’t have to declare your wealth to the public. Most celebrity net worth articles are completely inaccurate. This idea that if you’re a billionaire people know your financial situation is bizarre.

Don’t worry the EFL are checking him out his ’fit and proper person, credentials’ …..What could possibly go wrong? 🤦🏼
ITK 🚨 Just had an audio clip sent to me of a phone call during which Debby at the EFL is heard saying “Normally I’d approve this Mr. Mauriss but we’re tightening things up of late and I can’t sign this off when you live in a house like that…” DEAL OFF.

Have a poke round google and Twitter, he couldn’t even prove he existed when he tried to buy Newcastle

Yet some here still think this dude is legit. Ignore the fact Newcastle's 50,000+ fans along with local and national paper journalists struggled to find anything about this guys money.

He bid more than the Saudi's for fucks sake and he still didn't get Newcastle.

I don’t know his wealth, no one does 😂 that’s the problem. If he had any though, it wouldn’t be hard to find.

You and Chingo are a match match in bladey blade heaven. If towd Henry passes the EFL checks (gulp) then there might not be bladey blades for much longer though.

AFC Sheffield United had a ring to it…

There's clearly a lot of fans who are sceptical and that's fair enough, but I don't know that sticking with what we have is any better either! In the time the Prince has been in sole charge we've seen little development in the training ground - we're still using the dated and tired old sports ground that resembles a working men's club, or the ground, the academy is still cat 2 and whilst that's not the end of the world if we wanted to do the "make our own" approach and sign decent younger players than surely we'll need a cat 1 academy, or at least vast improvements on the existing training ground. And what has happened to the training ground new building that was promised!?

I think if the Prince stays we're set for years in the Championship quite honestly, it'll take a fee years for the younger players that we're developing/signing to come good.

Then we look at the last two transfer windows under the Prince. The Prince has stated before that he prefers permanent signings and I recall Hecky saying the same yet we've not signed one over either window and that to me is not good business as we're just developing other club's assets. This pre-season gone if we'd signed a few permanent players we may now be competing for the top two, as we should be as a relegated club, instead we're barely in the top 6, granted we've had bad injuries but I think we all would agree that we needed some reinforcements to this team, nothing major, and obviously finances are tight - I get that, but you only get one chance as a relegated team before more join us the next season with their parachute payments.

So, in conclusion, I'm optimistic to hear of a takeover because the alternative will be stagnation in all likelihood. It's basically back to the days under McCabe where we needed more investment, which of course, led to the Prince joining, but then we were skint and in league one, you can argue that it has led to an upsurge, although most of that was due to Wilder.

That's not to say, despite what it might sound like, that I'm anti the Prince staying, I just thing he clearly wants out and he's not likely to invest much unless we get promoted and that's the club's money anyway.

Anyone else think Mauriss and the house of Saud are one and the same?

Suadi frowned upon buying Newcastle originally so in steps Mauriss, but drags his feet regarding buying until the Saudi situation resolved then disappears.

If this is a way for the house of Saud to own two English clubs on the downlow i would be pretty happy.
