Sorry, who was that against? Genuinely cant rememberNot that it makes it any better, but he did score 1 solitary league goal last year![]()
Leicester at home.Sorry, who was that against? Genuinely cant remember![]()
I would just like him to go.Feel for the guy. I know he's not performed but it's not through lack of trying IMO. Just can't catch a break. I'd love him to come good for us, but it feels like he's cursed if he continues to wear a United shirt.
Iv defended him more than enough he's a bust flush bag of wank lanky twat. That's it.Looking at the amount of actual minutes he's played, it's not even 12 games worth. Which, while still not what we're wanting, is required in context of "full season without a league goal". If he'd played 3k+ minutes, then you might have a point
God I hope so.If he’s out for next 3 games is he done as a Blades player? Contracts up this summer innit?
Hes been injured all season you plonk
Well said Ollie... sorry (fallow) all the best on ur recovery.. we literally can't wait to see you back up front for the blades.. ermGet well soon Ollie we are all rooting for you
Seasons officially over without Oli Mac up top
The lad who "will tear the Championship a new one".Really bad season for McBurnie. We've defended him but its two very bad seasons back to back. Not scoring a league goal for 2 seasons is awful.
This could be one of those lucky omens.Blessing in disguise IMO, we played better with a midfielder up front last game. If Billy's even 50% fit he at least offers us a chance.
Nothing against him as a bloke, it just doesn't work with him playing up front for us, I'd be tempted to make him available on a free transfer to get him off the wage bill
N'Diaye has 4 in the league this season which is not exactly prolific but he links up really well with MGW and makes him play better. He adds much more to the team than say McBurnie or brewster. This could be one of those lucky omens.
I still believe one of the main reasons tht we got promoted to the top flight under Bassett was that John Gannon broke his arm.
He was playing crap and still getting picked and then he was out.
Maybe instead of flogging the McBurnie horse, he rests up, puts his issues behind him and goes again for his final year and moves on.
Certainly N'Diaye has looked more like scoring in two games than McBurnie had all season.
Just write this one off and hopefully N'Diaye, Gibbs-White and Sharp stay fit for the remainder with Osula and Jebbo in reserve to rest them.
4 in 1,722 minutes so 1 every 5, which isn't ideal for a striker but he's not been playing up front he's been playing more in a no 10 or attacking midfield role.N'Diaye has 4 in the league this season which is not exactly prolific but he links up really well with MGW and makes him play better. I'd be tempted to go with those two behind sharp for the rest of the season, those two buzzing about causing havoc for defences would free up space which sharp knows how to exploit, probably be my first choice forward line if everyone was fit.
Who's blaming the manager? I'm blaming McBurnie for not being very good at scoring goals, no one else.Mitrovic has scored 40 goals so far this season but only scored 4 last year in the PL.
Blaming the manager for a striker not scoring goals is sometimes missing the point.

If you pick N'Diaye, who do you drop when they are all fit? Assuming 3 at the back, who drops out? Fleck, Berge or Norwood? One would have to sit out if Gibbs-White and N'Diaye supported Sharp.
Personally I'd just rotate those 3. Start with Sharp and Gibbs-White and then bring N'Diaye on as my first sub, be there for Sharp or Gibbs-White or one of the midfield.
Such a shame…![]()
Oli McBurnie: Sheffield United striker to miss 'months' with foot injury
Sheffield United and Scotland striker Oli McBurnie is to spend "months" on the sidelines with a foot injury.www.bbc.co.uk
The only shame is it looks like we will be stuck with him for next season. Who would buy him in the summer if he isn't fit.Such a shame…
