Best Chairman he's ever had apparently.

Perhaps his last Manager's job. He should make enough out of it to have a nice pension fund for his west country retreat.

Tractor for Mr.Warnock....

its funny how he hasn't been with us since 2007 yet his sacking brings so many on.

Me and our old fella had a side bet on Christmas Day with a relative who was trying to vociferously defend some of Neil's more strange decisions towards the end of his tenure at the Lane. The bet...that if the run continued at QPR as it did,Warnock wouldn't see out January.

Reluctantly,he accepted...so sorry John - we were right..and you now owe us 50 notes.

Yep,its sad to see it,but I didn't think Tony Fernandes would be as accepting as McCabe, based on his outlay so far.

His updated autobiography will end the QPR chapter with and I don't know why, but the chairman fell out with me and sacked me', just like all the other chapters.

He is not a Premiership manager.

Agree, he cannot cut it at the top level. He wasted our money in the January 2007 transfer window. wouldnt be surprised if fernandes didnt trust him this time after the money he spent last Summer. Was annoyed with him recently when he tried to blow his own trumpet (he is always doing that) by claiming that he made Kyle walker become International class

They've had a strange season to be honest. The takeover and big signings were all compacted into the end of August which can't have been ideal. If you think back to our 06/07 season, we had a fairly decent home record - our dreadful points haul away from home was one of the main reasons for us going down. QPR in contrast were very good away, and dreadful results-wise at home.

It's harsh in my opinion, and a surprise given his popularity with fans (though apparently Fernandez has had a few fans tweeting him to get rid in last week or two). I doubt NW will want to end his career on that note - plenty of Championship clubs wouldn't hesitate to bring him in I'd have thought.

Yeah, that's right Lough, newly promoted clubs all find it very easy away from home in the Prem. It aint easy and we got 3 wins. 38 points was a very decent effort. Shame our chaiman was obssessed with property rather than football.

Agree, harsh sacking but new man will have window obviously.

and not a single fuck was given that day

Yes - but put another way, we got 0 points from 14 of the 19 away games we played. That, promoted team or otherwise, is not good. Had just one of those games been a draw instead of course, we'd have been safe. There are also other reasons why we went down, but to suggest we didn't do poorly away from home is madness.

Having seen us at Tottenham and Fulham I thought we'd get 0 away points so 10 was a great effort!

Did you only do two away games Mic???

V poor.

What a wasted opportunity when we were in the Premiership...............what must Sir Neil have thought?

About his contract principally.

Ken Bates will be on the phone to him in the morning as well as half a dozen other Championship chairmen.

Time to get Warnock in and sort this mess out at the lane

Also, Warnock was give no money by Bernie before he sold the club after QPR was promoted. The only people he could sign were on frees which is not good for any manager. Then, as someone has already pointed out, all his signings came at the end of the transfer window when the new chairman gave him the funds. He did the best he could in the time frame but maybe he should of gone with the team who got him up instead of all the players who are on one year contracts at 40k a week. We talk about the wages we have at the lane but just think what the wage budget would be if QPR are relegated at the end of the season.

if QPR are relegated at the end of the season.

Which is why they have dispensed with his services, he will be counting the money as we speak, and the phone will probably ring in the morning.

this thread (and the 2 others about warnocks sacking ) sum up why sheffield united will never have success
real small town mentality when it comes to our football managers ,god help em if they proclaim to know more about the game than the sufc sub commitee on anything and everything

It's a harsh decision but it's one I wish we'd had the balls to make in our prem season. Many of us knew he would not be the man to keep us up but having got us there it was impossible to sack him before the season started.

He's a decent lower league manager if you can put up with his ego and give him 7 years if he needs it. The complexities of the Prem league do not suit his strengths and highlight his weaknesses. Us, Notts County and now QPR surely help prove the point. A decent prem manager would not have QPR where they are now.

But he's got out of jail a bit tonight. He can claim he wasn't given a fair chance and would have kept them up etc and the Warnock myth will live on.

Just like the myth that he is a big Blade - hasn't he already told Sky that QPR was the most enjoyable job of his career?

Time to get Warnock in and sort this mess out at the lane.

Why, will Warnock bring a massive investment? Because the only way it would make sense to have him back at the Lane is if he's got a payout that would make Abramovich look skint. Otherwise, no point.

Managers are judged on results
Warnocks excellent at competing in the top 10 championship
prem , comes up short, harsh but honest
Never go back , unless youve had a wild night with sofia vergara and she offers another night of bliss

Given the support that Fernandes has given him can you blame him?
He has never been good enough for the Premiership & if i was Fernandes i would have done the same thing.
I bet Fernandes is gutted he didnt act sooner TBH.

Having seen us at Tottenham and Fulham I thought we'd get 0 away points so 10 was a great effort!

I went to both of those. Two great, and very different away trips. Just a shame we didn't get the result.

For the Tottenham game i went down to London on the train after work, after being up at 4am that day, and i came back on the National Express coach, arrived back in Sheffield at 5am the next morning and when i finally got to bed i had been up something like 26 hours and was absolutely knackered.

The Fulham game was a good day, went out and had an absolute skinful before and after the match. Remember walking through the park to get to Craven Cottage, and there was a church, where the bells were ringing, and a newly married couple came out, and the Blades fans starting singing 'does she take it up the arse'!
