What a loan signing he has been.Yesterday epitomised what a talented player he is.
His work rate is phenomenal, always looking to create chances, his link up play yesterday with those around him was commendable, and what a quality goal.
He has been the highlight for me in a forgettable season.I suspect he will still be in the same league next season but alas not in Blades shirt.

He’s recently signed a lucrative contract at Wolves and his ambition is to play in the PL for Wolves.

Not so sure he’ll be on loan again in the Championship, surely it’s a waste of a year, think he’ll demand some answers at Wolves and be given a chance as a squad player in their team.

If Wolves don’t give him a chance then suspect he’ll consider offers from other PL clubs.

Great talent with a great attitude and work rate but still has a lot to learn, fortunately age is on his side but he can frustrate you at times. He does make up for it with his goals and assist tally just a shame he won’t improve for us.

We've been a one man team in attack this season. Totally reliant on the young loanee.
He's too good for us and this division and he will leave an unfillable hole next season when he is playing in the Prem.
Loved his style and, more importantly, his attitude.

He often gets criticised for trying to do too much and giving the ball away. But a lot of the time he's let down by his inferior teammates. He'll iron out the issues and go on to have a very good career I think.

2 man team.

Sharp!

To be fair though, how many of Sharp's goals wouldn't have happened without him? We create next to nothing without him on the pitch

I really rate MGW but the Wolves fans.... mixed.

We talk about how he could cost up to £20m. Few of their fans think it's time to move him on for a few million.

He will go back to Wolves and be assessed in the summer but his form for us this season means that should Wolves entertain offers for him the likes of Fulham, Bournemouth, Brentford, Brighton and even possibly Leeds might be thinking about him.
If we were to be promoted (lets be honest it's big IF) then we might have an outside chance if they decide to get rid. Otherwise unless he fancies another loan here we ain't getting him back.

MGW won’t be back. That’s for sure. At least he might be able to fire us up through the PO’s…

However, the club should be looking now to fill that hole he’ll leave. Our scouts must work OT after we know if we’re PO’s or not.

He’s a great player at this level but he won’t be playing for Wolves, he’s not at that level. So wasteful in front of goal and he gives the ball away far too easily.
Think they’ll cash in. The likes of Fulham or Bournemouth are the obvious clubs that’ll be in for him.

Doubtless good, but he had recently missed several clear chances to score and was anonymous against Reading.
Let’s not go overboard , but just acknowledge how useful he has been for us.

I think it’s fair to say it’s the best loan we’ve had in recent years/decades

Good player yet has an awful lot to learn still. Another season in the Champ under a top coach would be ideal.

Hendo was best we’ve had. I don’t get excited about good loaners, they make us look better than the sum of our players and have no intensions of staying with us, we are just a club that tries out players the parent club has doubts about. Granted Hendo and MGW were on the top end of loan talent but cast your mind back to Coffé, Woodburn, et al.
MGW is good although a little selfish sometimes but thats OK he’s here to prove himself not to make us a PL team, that’s just a happy consequence.

He's got talent and ability by the bucketload. He needs to learn that sometimes a simple pass is better than 3 stepovers and then falling over....but if he does that he could go all the way to the very top. Shame it won't be with us, but it's been a delight at times to watch him this season. GLTTL.

You're right, but Henderson was a loanee that played a huge role in our promotion.

Nott'm Forest might be about to go up with half a team of loanees (Spence, Lowe, Garner, Zinckernagel, K Davis...).
At this level they can be the difference.

As for those saying 'MGW is too wasteful, gives the ball away, misses chances etc.' This is his first full season of men's football. He's going to be inconsistent. He has all of the attributes to be a wonderful player. The rest will come in time.

I agree though, Wolves may be a step too far at this stage. But a Brighton, or a Southampton type loan might be very suitable for him next season.

Full season loan players who contributed the most:

Dean Henderson
MGW
Greg Halford
