What the fuck is that all about?

We need a win, he’s making a like for like midfield change with 30 seconds to play

Fucking balloon
Maybe the thinking was he is more of a threat from the edge of the box if he gets a shooting opportunity and takes a decent corner..worth a try with a few minutes to play, you never know.

Baffling to say the least.
Fleck is carrying a groin problem ! Tiredness creeps in late in games he may have been feeling it and taken off as a precaution .
He had a good game was really missed last Friday .
Massive game Saturday so I can see the logic in taking him off ok it was late.
Can't see any other reason to take him off.

But for an intercepted cross in 97th minute from a well worked free kick, he'd have created the winning goal. Would you have been moaning about it then or would it have been a master stroke? Fine margins.

Hecky has form for this. In one of our away games (Blackpool or Preston was it), he tried to make a change in the last minute but the ref blew up before he could make the sub. Its amateurish and stupid beyond belief to expect a player to make an impact in 10 to 20s. All this from the same manager who played 36 year old Billy Sharp in every minute of each game for about 12 consecutive games. I do worry that Hecky isn't cut out for this management gig.

Came on to take the free kick at the end which almost created a goal.

93 minutes is bloody late in the game for that don’t you think
Another baffling decision by the manager

Some of the recent decisions, statements and tactics from Hecky have a distinct whiff of Nigel Clough‘s “you start with a point and the first priority is not to lose it” philosophy.

Hecky has done a good job since taking over but this recent turn towards negativity in the tactics makes me fearful for next season. I don’t expect to challenge for promotion for a good few years after this season but if we are going to have mid table finishes and boring defensive tactics to boot I am not sure if I can go through that again.

Saw someone say it’s to do with an appearance clause in his loan deal. Will be a load of bollocks but you never know as it was a bit strange.

Heckingbottom, McCall and Lester are coaches and not managers. That’s where some of our problems lay. His team selection (Saturday) and his substitutes, (last night was yet another example) . He cannot manager, and that will cause us issues next season….

It takes a second to score a goal, he had bags of time and did fuck all.. ;)

Loan agreement or time wasting are the only feasible theories. The idea that Fleck was too injured to play another 30 seconds or that he would in some way be a goal threat when he's scored no goals don't stack up
Yep looking back it must have been a tactic , still Fleck is carrying a groin problem Hecki said and we will have to manage him for the season.
He has to play Saturday !!

Wish some of you would stop whinging. It’s as if you are just trying to find something to whinge about.

If Fleck’s struggling what’s the problem taking him off?? Even if it’s just for the last couple of minutes.
It was seconds, not minutes 😂 literally pointless, and very very weird

A point is not the worst result in the world. A defeat would have been (see Reading fun and games), so I agree with the timewasting substitution. I'd have done the same. Their goal and all their 2nd half chances resulted from when we were going at it in their goalmouth. 2 wins and we're probably in play offs. Cardiff at home, QPR away and a Fulham side that will probably be on the beach by then. It's very doable, and with the resources we currently have available, would be a decent achievement. But I have to say, I don't think we will do it....
