Very little profit if any!

If you think that will happen you don't understand modern day football or indeed the modern day footballer ,contracts mean the sum total of fuckall to them .
I understand enough to remember Norwich kept Buendia, Watford kept Sarr and Bournemouth kept Brooks

It bucks the normal trend in football to be Iin profit especially with 50m plus wage bills . To settle down after relegation and be in a play spot and have control of your finances is impressive for any club. At least we haven't done the Bolton
Charlton or Ipswich models and kept our heads financially

We showed huge profit and we are told we are struggling financially!? What is going on!

Darren Smith is saying every week we need to sell more and more players?

If you clear a thousand quid each month after all your spending, but you have a mortgage of 150k, do you regard yourself as rich or not?

Transfer fees are spread over the duration of a player's contract. We made a profit that year. But we are still committed to meeting future payments of around 70m left on those fees over th next couple of years. So if we go and spunk this 'profit' then where is the money going to come from to meet the 70m?

Also we spent 3.5m on Agent fees without having made a single cash purchase this summer. That's how expensive it is to be in football.

Presumably Jokanovic's agent took a fee, as would Gibbs-White's and Olsen's no doubt. Parasites.

Transfer fees can be paid in full at the start or spread over an agreed period which may be less than the players contract term.
We don’t know how much is owing on agreed acquisitions nor when they are due

If we don't go up I'd expect we'll need to sell one or two of the existing squad, Berge for sure, I can't think of another, maybe we'd just not be able to offer all the out of contract players a new deal. I think we're not in a bad position when you consider the number of promising young players coming through which fits the new model and they're obviously the players that attract bids also which is just a matter of fact and as long as they're sold for a decent fee I'm ok with that, that's the bit we've often failed to do though but we seem to play harder ball much more these days - thankfully!

There is limited information in the Creditors notes to the accounts, within and after one year, ie figures at the year end.
