He looks an excellent finisher but still a boy. Not sure how he'd do with a 28 year old beast of a centre back breathing all over him quite yet!
 
Lankshear and Peck are the future, not a bad deal really, those 2 and 30m for Rammers!!
 
Kacper Lopata told us about Lankshear last year on Sheff United Way as an outstanding prospect.

I watched him today and he looked like an outstanding prospect.

Long way to go but hopefully he continues to make strides. GLTTL
 
Very tidy goals. Even the disallowed one was superbly tucked away. Not a bad size for a 16yr old either!
Will be interesting to see how he does out on loan… maybe next season depending on what the staff feel is best for his development.

And then we’ll sell him to keep the club ticking over. I watched this lad (and several others) and even I can see they are special talents. Don’t want to put a downer on the club but under investment owners and occasional over achievement by average players is not a formula for hanging onto young talent. Just look at the young talent that has left the club for 5 beans in the past decade or two and gone on to be some of the highest valued players in the world. We made up nearly the whole England back line at one point with our ex young players. And we get a few bob if we remembered to put a sell on clause in. Young players come here as a proving ground to big club scouts.

Very similar to your seeing Chris Morgan on holiday with his family and commenting about him being on holiday with his family.

Guessing Hackford is injured?

A good crop of young strikers but as we have seen from Brewster the step up and consistency at a young age is very difficult.

Trevor Francis was 16 when he scored 15 goals for Brum in his first season. He was soon joined by the experienced Bob Hatton.

Billy Sharp and Will Lankshear has a pleasant ring to it.

Where did he join from?

I like that we are putting effort in to scouting other academy cast offs. See if something has been overlooked or they were played in a different position or something that could mean they don't quite fit where they are. Also, let's be honest, not being deemed good enough to break through for Man City or such like is very different to a normal club.
