Even with all the injuries we had enough out there to win that game. Why didn't we?.
lacking in the final third. Poor link up play.
And a lack of Leadership on the field. Berge is the most mobile of him Norwood or Hourihane but what he does is one burst and then nothing for 5 to 10 minutes. He should be demanding the ball. The lack of dominance in midfield allowed them to be more comfortable at the back.

I know that Hecky was hoping to sneak a win, but 1 sub prior to the 89th minute is way too Conservative. Particularly as Billy and MGW were both poor. So with Brewster McGoldrick and McBurnie out, what is the point of bringing Jebbison back from Burton if he is not going to be used. Both Billy and MGW could have been replaced.

Everyone can have an opinion, and everyone can call out opinions that are plain bollox
Yes but you don’t seem to understand that the whole point of a forum is to allow people to express their opinions. Fair enough, you might think they’re talking tosh but reposts like “you’re a clown” or “Hecky knows and you don’t “ ain’t exactly making for an interesting discussion?

There was no issue with the shot but there were three of them stood in offside positions. Why didn't they get out quicker? I assume they understand how offside works.

If you have 2 or 3 between the 6 yard line and the penalty area, it's understandable to suggest that might be a distraction to the keeper for instance.

Not great, but that's how they will justify it.

Blackpool were total shite
They were comfortable passing around us and cut through the midfield with ease. Bowler in particular gave us all kinds of problems. You must have been asleep for the second half!

Yes, it’s been said before but, when he receives the ball with space in front of him he rarely attacks it. Weird when he has the ability to ghost past people. I just think he like the rest was out of gas tonight. Scramble a result at the weekend and hello sweet International break……

So saying someone is clueless for suggesting aomething that shows they are clueless is off limits? 🤣🤣🤣🤣...did u see what that idiot suggested? Fuckin forum police alert 🤣🤣

This team is nowhere near as structured as under wilder I get the feeling Hecky/McCall just tell them to go out and win every first ball and not much else

Hecky Barely makes any changes is that cause he doesn’t know how to change it or is just stiff scared too I dunno which is worse

I think the top players MGW/BERGE have carried us recently and masked a poor manager who was riding on previous managers success
I would agree with you if this was last Saturday but tonight what options did he have ?
change his goalie - a midfielder - which he did - or a 19 year old striker

In the 2nd half, maybe, but in the 1st half they were pretty lame and that's where our opportunity was to get in front.

There was a discussion on this on MOTD general consensus was that the new offside rules are pish and should be scrapped. As Brian Clough once said “ If one of my players in the penalty box and not interfering with play, I’d be livid” it’s another area of the game that is full of massive subjectivity and hence a poor rule

Tbh I probably was

I thought they were rubbish , honestly . They were terrible at BL abs rubbish here .

This is one of the worst leagues I have seen in my 51 years of attending matches

Utd were rubbish in nearly all areas - no structure , plan , cohesion - honestly - Blackpool as the home side were rubbish

We’re really struggling for players atm but we’re in desperate need of a quality midfield player and what’s happened to Egan he was a brilliant player he’s just plain ordinary now!

Scrappy game and not a bad point in the end. We look fairly spent though. Not sure why the Norwood goal was disallowed. Someone went flying when the corner went in. Maybe that, Who knows. Didn't really deserve it anyway.

Foderingham - 7 - Not a lot to do. made a sharp save from a Bowler shot/cross. Otherwise, steady.
RND - 5 - Game of two halves. Clumsy and useless first half. Seriously, how many play is this lad going to pointlessly foul by running into them? Better second half and made a number a good interceptions through good anticipation/positioning
Robinson - 5.5 - OK. not convincing in all honesty. Hardly pressured but a little slack
Egan - 5 - Thought he was poor again. Madine didn't really put him under that much pressure but he looks slow and tired. Poor headers from our corners
Gordon - 6 - Better game from him. Far from perfect but played a couple of good passes and made several good interceptions. Still learning and a few mistakes thrown in but better.
Osborn - 6 - Caused a few problems going forward but then the cross on the right foot is weak. Not his fault. Buzzed around and press ed and put a good shift in.
Norwood - 6 - Mixed. Some great tackles, lots of sloppy easy passes. Unlucky with the goal but wasteful far too often.
Berge -5.5 - Poor next to Norwood. Much better when pushed further forward but not as effective as he needs to be.
Ndaiye - 6.5 - Did a few things on the ball but needs to be more impactful going forward. Thought he put a real shift in defensively though. Coming all the way back.
MGW - 5 - Another poor day. Kept trying things when they weren't coming off. Essentially just giving the ball away. Always looks lively but very little came off and usually tackled or passing to the opposition
Sharp - 5 - Thought he was poor. Looked tired but lost just about every battle. Kept going and a stupid pointless booking towards the end. Desperately needs to be rested.

Subs

Hourihane - 6.5 - Thought bringing him on changed the game in our favour. He was hit and miss but we created a lot more when he came on.
Osula - not on long enough

Hecky - 6 - I guess, given he have so many injuries, that a point is a decent result. I thought the first sub was very positive. Gave us emphasis. Still when you only have kids on the bench it's difficult.

Blackpool - scrappy team. Few decent players but largely lower Championship. Liked the look of Connolly but it was Bowler who ran us ragged all game.

Two very poor back to back performances. Night and day from the Boro match work rate and creativity.

We need to snap out of this pretty sharpish if we are going to mount a realistic play-off push.

We were running on empty as the 2nd half progressed, we look tired, but understandable with being thin on the ground through injuries and the amount of games we've had to fit in.. decent point in the end.
Blackpool were poor, but the lad Bowler looked decent again.. Shocking decision to rule out our goal though.

A 19 year old in jebbinson who was scoring goals for fun and be touted as half the premier league after him

If your not gonna play him or even bring him on in a game like tonight then why bother

Couldn't agree more with parts of that but I still think Blackpool were bar far the better team in many ways today.

As others have said injuries haven't helped us but it still doesn't change the fact that these are still championship players (majority of who are regs in our starting 11) who we're very very poor.

Well it was an improvement on the last match, if we keep going that way they we will beat Barnsley good and proper.
Ball in the net twice, both offside, clean sheet Wes, a point and we didnt lose. With our Z team I`ll take that.

Oh and VAR would have given Norwood (Robinson) goal I reckon. Its right up VAR's street that one.

Billy should have buried that chance early on. Maybe a different game if he does.

Turgid performance throughout most of the second half and our final ball was awful all game.

As for the disallowed goal, well, I thought it was a shocker at the time but it’s not like we did enough to win it otherwise.

One of those where you have to take the point and forget about it.

I wouldn't that was a shit decision but over the season my experience is better.

Far too many shocking decisions at this level for me.

Agree it takes away the spontaneity but until they can find better referees the standard affects too many results imho.

Considering the injuries, the amount of games, and Saturday's shambles, I'm pretty happy with that performance.

Yeah not great and we should have made more of the first half but I'd have probably taken a point before the game all things considered.

The lingering annoyance is that pathetic decision though.

Just got to hope we get one our way in a key game between now and the end of the season.

I think some need to get real. WE have a full teams worth out injured- no the football wasn't great, Blackpool very average- but those 11 gave every single ounce- they were totally out on their feet. Given circumstances an astounding point.

Pre match Morgan and Gage both said a point be a real triumph. Well done lads you triumphed.

You'll sleep well tonight and you deserve to.

Seems we are lacking depth, no investment in hotel, training ground, kop ... just Saudi Princey with his portfolio.... French team favourites of his at the moment.... Hurry up and sell ... Good riddance ... all these foreign owners probably be found out and penalised in the future .... who knows?! Not a particularly good experience at the moment... my opinion... not saying I'm right but as Kev would say ... 'hey ho' we're Sheffield Utd. UTB

And we notice the ones against us.
For me, I say definitely not. I go for the spontaneity. Without it, the game is a shadow of what it should be.
It's down to feelings really.

Soooo low on quality tonight. Team full of mid-table championship players. Only when they play out of their skin (ie. Middlesbrough) do they look anything like a Top 6 team. Tonight sh
