That is a young team for the U23s. Guessing more than a few will be on the bench again tomorrow and yeah, probably points to McBurnie being out.

I would imagine Osula also considered for bench if McBurnie is a doubt.

So that would be a good 6 options light for the U23s.

If you include the loanees there's quite a list of unavailable - Amissah, Dewhurst, Seriki, Starbuck, Gordon, Lopata, Boyes, Neal, Brunt, Broadbent, Maguire, Arblaster, Osula, Hackford and Capello - plus some injured lads who haven't been seen for a while

It's a pity, not just because the Wednesday U23s are crap but because both the U23s and the U18s have a chance of winning their leagues.

But the injuries at first team level will see the U23s, as you say, move into first team consideration and then the U18s will need to step into the U23s making the U18s weaker potentially.

One point behind Wednesday with a game in hand at U18 level and 4 behind Coventry at U23 level with a game in hand. 8 and 7 to go respectively.

It's nice beating Wendy and winning leagues, but the players out on loan or about our first team squad are getting invaluable experience.

Have they mentioned it on Owlstalk yet, along with demands for an open top bus celebration, a new bank holiday, and statues outside Hillsborough
Oh yes it's how their side of mainly U18s beat our strong side. And it's a sign everything is going in the right direction after their U21 performance against us earlier this season.

We'll except for Accrington scoring last night, pesky tin pot club getting in Wednesday's faces, not letting them play. Didn't they realise it was their cup final and should have just been proud to play at the old lady.
