The issue with Moose is that by keeping him around we'd be implying that his unprofessionalism is acceptable. He took the piss with his approach to fitness and conditioning.
It’s a very very good point.

I have on record a player in the current squad with an impeccable record of professionalism stating clearly “a fat moose is a happy moose”.

Getting 20 / 30 minutes out of him at the end of games to take the weight off is SUBSTANTIALLY MORE than is realistically expected from you know who.

It’s by no means ideal, and the injuries to RB and DMc could not have been predicted.

I just believe strongly that LM, for all his failings, offers more (much more in fact) than OMc.

There. I said it !!

Normally when McB comes on there's a fairly big 'Hes our striker...' song on the kop.
Yesterday there was nothing. Seemed a very noticeable change.

post 599 Boro did the singing until we scored. :D. Not quite the Wednesday bouncing video but a good example.

Carl Asaba.. Another striker who cost about 3 Bob yet was far more prolific than our £20m man... Asaba in the comments under the article then basically says he shite.... Looks like he's played 90 mins before he starts 😂😂

I’ll be honest I had to turn the Coventry commentary off as it was painful to watch (and what I did watch was through the gaps in my figures) let alone have to listen to today. When mcbambie got hooked he seemed to barge Heckys shoulder, gesture at his team mates and go down tunnel. Was he p!ssed off or was it an injury?

Injury I thought.

Was a knock following a heavy challenge...he didn't barge Hecky at all.

To remain in the in crowd one has to listen to someone bigger and stronger then follow on.
Seems like word gets around that McBurnie ain't great.

Them that booed the kid when he came on can fuck rite off, idiots lot of em/you!! I'm a big critic of his but would never boo him, set up a goal with a lovely flick through and thought he was good when involved today. You can see his confidence is shot to bits, had 2 chances to shoot today and had one extra touch on the first and squared the second. Can't fault him today but can fault the dickheads who booed him! Well done today Big Mac 👏

Good assist but clearly lacking in confidence as he fluffed two decent openings to get a shot on target.

But let’s hope Oli can kick on now. If the worse happens and Billy is sidelined, might a different strike partner suit McBurnie better?

My 2 pence, as much as I agree booing is disgraceful from our fans, however after experiencing the Lunny affect during lockdown may have caused them some frustration.. maybe the saying of 'sometimes you need to be cruel to be kind' could possibly spur him on with further determination.

How does he know so many opposition players? Running joke where we sit that when he’s warning up during every game he knows one or two and just has a chin wag.

Never in my life have I seen such a clumsy player. He seems to trip over the ball rather than control it. Saying that, great assist today.

But, if he’s a starter or a sub I have zero faith he will score and at the end of the day that’s what we paid for and that’s what he doesn’t do.

I didn't hear anyone booing where I was sitting. I don't agree with booing him either.

However we were laughing about how hopeless he is. The bit where he backed into fresh air was genius, and something I've never seen on a football pitch before.

He plays like he's won a fans competition in a raffle to play 30 minutes with the 1st team.

If you play the Benny Hill theme tune in your head when you're watching him, I find it makes it a lot easier.

He has a lot of banter with other team's players on twitter and Instagram but I think he's just that sort of person- a socialable guy that can strike up a conversation with anyone about anything.

I think he got an assist today which was more by luck than by judgement
Oh give it a rest ffs my 2 year old could tell it was a great assist. Once he got it out from under his feet it was a cracking pass

Never a fan in the million years, but the one thing he does have, is a good through ball when players are running off him. I think his other assist this season, was something similar.
