If they go bust

Home win we would lose those points...Away defeat we get those points back....so our points total would be unaffected

I'm really not sure how you can come to that conclusion. We didn't lose any points when we lost to Derby, we just didn't gain any.

It's like saying that if we'd lost both games we'd gain 6 points, that's not how it works. If they cease to exist we will lose 3 points, the ones we got when we beat them at Home.

This is a club who've had no success for years + is struggling at the bottom of the Championship yet their last home gate was 31,000 - if the Blades were in their position we'd be lucky to get half that - they are a big club in any sense of the word + I just can't see them folding

The 31k was against Birmingham wasn't it and a protest from both fans plus Derby and Birmingham isn't exactly far from each other is it,they've had one near sell out all season we've been over the 25kish mark nearly every home game, and you reckon if in the same boat we'd only get 15,500 😂

What a nightmare it would be regardless of how they did it.

Some teams losing 6 points
Some losing none by being crap.

What about goal difference?
A team that battered Derby might feel that they'd been punished twice

If you had a 5-0 win scrapped it would be like losing four points depending on how goal difference affects things at the end of the season.

If you got hammered by Derby it would seem like a bonus to have the game scrapped

No loss of points and a four or five better goal difference

I'm only surprised that we didn't beat them 10-0 both times

Hopefully they stay afloat till the summer so there's no points addition/deduction fuckup.

We won at home against Derby lost away so our points will balance out.

Some teams will lose points like Boro and Forest 4 points each
I thought they’d got sorted from pundits on EFL show last weekend

23.000 last home match v Millwall.

Remember the efl has got 21 points they took off Derby.
If they get chucked out, that goes back in the pot. So that's 42 points and 22 teams. Only fair way is to share them out evenly 1 and half points each, then send the other 9 points to Wycombe for last season. Obvious.

By your method surely Boro & Forest would gain the 2 points they lost to Derby by drawing?
And lose the one point they gained by drawing, so they’d be one point ahead, er, or something like that!

I would be confused at everything I've just read, then I remembered that the former shadow home secretary thinks Putin invaded Croatia and remembered that the UK is just a bit stupid

Our balance would be zero as the three for the defeat would be added and the three that we won would be taken away…so we would stay the same. Teams that beat Derby both times would lose six and teams that drew and won would lose four

Please tell me that this comment was a joke??
