Heckys words were ‘we will have to wait and see how they are, W*dnesdays game might be too soon for em’

So thats definitely not ruling them out, although theyre definitely struggling, the question is, just a knock or more?

I am wondering if we’re seeing a tactical manoeuvre by Hecky here, it’s a huge game, no doubt we need any advantage we can get, it would be disheartening for Blackburn to have thought we had a big injury list, to then see 2x fit wingbacks starting… fingers crossed

The other thing though is if they are just knocks, you're so much more vulnerable to a bad injury if you play through it. I'd rather see a rejig or Seriki or someone for a game or two than lose someone else for the season.

you are right, especially after our luck/injury management this season.

Saw Baldock driving this morning.

Apart from him needing to brush up on his highway code 😉⛔ I'd say his injury can't be too bad thankfully.

No expert but from experience you wouldn't be driving a couple of days after a notable hamstring or knee injury.

I know managers will try mind games and like to keep information as guarded as possible, but for Blackburn I imagine they'll prepare to take on our best and be happy if it's weaker. I doubt Mowbray's telling his lads to take it easy since we might have a couple of players missing.

Probably just scored a goal in training and lost it again with his celebration ending him getting in his car and driving as far as possible

Apparently according to Blackburns forum they have two quick players up front (although one couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo at the moment) and they would like them to both start against us, but think Mowbray will go a bit more conservative.

Sounds like Seriki’s progress may have stalled in Belgium so maybe too soon for him
Seen this said a lot, but he can't have completely forgotten how to play football while on the bench in Belgium.

Huge step up from u23s to Championship though, obviously. But with the fans roaring praise for his every touch.... Fingers crossed.

I hope he’s thrown in at the deep end. It could easily restore all the confidence he’s lost in the first part of the year if we show that level of belief in him.

They did sign Burke after all then 🤨

Hardly a true indicator, gently pressing an accelerator is not really a comparison to tonking up and down the right flank......unless of course you saw him behind the wheel of Fred Flinstones car of course....

agreed, they wont be taking anything for granted, but it could affect how mowbray lines up against us, he might look to exploit our wings only to find out both RND and Baldock are fit and raring to go, and then we can go play to their weaknesses (unlikely but would genius from hecky if so).

Having had minor issues with both my knee and hamstrings, driving wasn't ideal.

I therefore doubt a professional footballer would be driving to training (Fleck was with him although he usually shares with Sander - I'm not a stalker - I pass them most mornings) if he had an injury of note to either.

Does this mean Sander is also injured? We're doomed I tell you! 😉

Flecky in the passenger seat and someone sat in the back but couldn't see properly due to the blacked out windows.

Think it's reasonable to assume that it was Sander resting his ruptured achilles on the back seat.

Smoke and mirrors...

Baldock was holding his calf just before half time and then before he went off. Hopefully just a niggle and was taken off as a precaution

They have a few missing too !

What do we reckon then? was there a tactical element to saying our WB's were doubtful? Was chuffed to see RND and Baldock on the sheet

I assume Davies might play for Basham til Goode is back. Gordon as cover for Davies.
