Is there any chance that any pub in London will be showing the game of the season that is SUFC v Bradford?

Has the global phenom known as "Sports Bars" reached London yet?

Full PPE if you're going out to find it mate....

I'm going to be asking the faltering fullback in stroud green if they will be showing it. Failing that, the worlds end nr Finsbury Park tube. Can't be arsed to go far :)

Will let you know if they are.

I'll be at work, so i'll be sky plussing it and then watching it with a couple of cold one's when i get in.

We will lose, because whenever i've been at work and United have been on Sky and i have watched it later, that is what usually happens.

Will you want us to keep you updated on the match brownie?

Bit like the likely lads episode for the England game they tried to avoid the score of to watch the highlights later that night - the one that was postponed.

Can't you just ask the bar staff to put the right channel on for you? Go to a pub with no customers and no bugger will complain.

:)

I have to say even with my notorious lack of shame going into a a bar and saying "can I watch the Johnstone's Paint Trophy game" is ever so slightly embarassing :-)

There will be a London Blades pub meet up for this ('sadly' I have a class tomorrow night) so if anyone wants details PM me.

The Larrik, where Stroud Green Road turns into Crouch Hill - if there's no other game on they'll be showing it. Not a bad pub.

Not been there for a while then :)

It's been called the stapleton tavern for over a year now. Not sure if they have telly's anymore.

Now run by this lot http://www.antic-ltd.com/

Been to a few of their pubs before.

There wasn't that much enthusiasm for it post-match on saturday:)

Indeed. Im the only person 'attending' on Facebook and Im not going to be there till after 9. Im going to be up in Camden so I might just find a place up there. Itll be like the old days before I started hanging around with the London Blades, sitting in a random London pub on my own cheering the Blades in front of bemused locals and tourists.

Yeah I have, I'd just forgotten its name so stoopidly checked on Google Streetview thingy :¬/

It's all fifties chintz now intit? The food was very good and they still had one large screen, unless they've binned it since i went a couple of months ago.

Don't like the Old Dairy opposite.

I'll be nipping down to the fullback later to see if they'll show it. Welcome to join me tomorrow night if they are.

Throw a sickie and stay at home...that way we might just win. It may be worth everyone chipping in for a days wage:)

I'll be watching in my local with a few cold ones, introduce the narrow minded budgies to some steel :D

Norfolkian?! Never heard that before mate! If I've had a weekend in Sheffield, I do have a bit of a twang when I come back, but of course I won't have, so it'll be plain bog standard Norfolk, possibly with a bit of Yorkshire put in the mix if I get annoyed!

I'd be quite happy if we lost this one. Being in this Mickey Mouse cup is an embarrasment. It would be much more interesting if the winner got something out of it. A good idea would be for only three teams to qualify for the play offs automatically, the 4th spot taken by the JPT winner.

Saying that, I'll probably watch it. Doubt more than 10k will turn up.

Good idea, but you would have to have a fall back so that if the JPT winner finishes 5th or above (or is from the 4th division), the 6th team qualifies.
