Needs to spend less time poking slappers.
Is there a direct correlation between poking slappers and footballing ability ?

Pelters again for the lad, while MGW gets clapped and ‘unlucky’ for tossing the ball to an opponent/out of play.
And again, called lazy, watch the Ndiaye chance, didn’t he head their corner clear then end up in arguably a better position than Ndiaye as one of the three?
I’m all for him and others having to improve, but he certainly gets the rough end of some folks mood.
Bloke to right and 2 nobs straight behind. All they did was whinge everytime he lost it. Didn't mention anything when he didn't lose it. As you say, it's become an agenda nowThere’s no way anyones blaming him for tonight, surely?
There’s agendas - then there’s just plain taking the piss.

To be fair, he was winning headers. Could have easily scored from one.In fairness to him he had two chances on target, a shot in the six yard box that went straight at the keeper in the middle of the goal, and another which the keeper saved in the bottom corner.
What I will say in his defence is that we had 22 shots, 3 on target and 2 of those were his. Coincidentally when he had service to his feet. Once again when he plays the players revert to endless crosses to him when he's shite in the air. Play the ball to his feet and he actually makes the keeper work and looks like scoring. What's more annoying is that we play the ball to Billy's feet more often than not.
So is it Hecky's tactics? The players being lazy and just looking for an easy option to cross it to the tall guy? McBurnie convincing that team that he's good in the air and prefers that service when he's not? It's weird that we always resort to lumping it up to him or crossing it to him, instead of playing it to his feet.
I just don't see it happening for him here and we're stuck with him.
Well I've not poked a slapper and I'm terrible at footballIs there a direct correlation between poking slappers and footballing ability ?

McBurnie out Jebbo in.Worst C/F since Chris Guthrie
He has very little credit in the bank compared to those two, and they've only been here this season
Credit in the bank doesn’t change what’s in front of a pair of eyes though![]()
The haters don't want to read this pal.He also had 2 of our shots on target against Huddersfield
Yep...the usual excuse for a striker who cant hit a cows arse with frying pan.Starting with him up front will cost us a play off place.Because the crossing and corners were really poor.
He played OK and worked hard, but just doesn't look like scoring.I'm not his greatest fan, but I thought he played well tonight. Worked hard, linked well, but for once actually got into the box & onto the end of some half chances (he didn't miss any sitters). Far more encouraging than we've seen from him before.
You can see he isn't fully fit yet, but he doesn't deserve to be scapegoated for tonight.
It's so overly simplistic to look at the scoreline and blame the striker. That isn't what tonight was about.
The one criticism would be, when MGW and Ndiaye are on the park we don't need McBurnie dropping deep looking for work. Be the focal point, but stay in and around the box. Work the central defenders and attack the near post when we're playing triangles out wide.
Oli, if you're reading this, watch Mitrovic as your homework this week.
We dont hate him...we just hate seeing him play.No mate it is the hatred from you and others that is out of control.
Absolutely outstanding tonight, best player on the pitch by a distance.
And I’d also say if McBurnie was played through 1v1 in the second half instead of Ndiaye, who couldn’t finish his fucking breakfast, it’ll have been 3 easy points.

Is heBlinded by the fee
Really? I want him to succeed, but I think he'd have rolled it softly to their goal keeper. The amount of scuffed shots is ridiculous. He badly needs a goal and I hope the confidence he can get from one changes himAbsolutely outstanding tonight, best player on the pitch by a distance.
