No way are you blaming him for that ball Billy gave him 😂 it was behind him, what Bogle did was ridiculous and not many Premier League players could do it - relevance?
Err, it’s a question of relative skill - £20 m can’t but Bogle @ c£4m can. I am totally stunned that people on here who reckon they understand football can’t finally admit that McBurnie is a complete and utter clown as a footballer. I can only assume that his clappers army are actually a cohort of paid or delusional keyboard warriors.
He is rubbish

So because Bogle can perfom that extra ordinary skill means every footballer should be able to? You come out with some right shite

So it was McBurnie’s timing of the run that was off, not the timing of the pass? Thought it might be somehow
Read what I wrote. Sharp had nowhere else to put it, so saying the ball was played behind mcb is bollox. Yes it was the run that was slightly off in terms of timing but again, that isnt the problem for me as i am happy he at least attempted to run into a decent position, its the track record of producing nowt compared to our other strikers. If you cannot see that it is you with the agenda, not myself or anyone else.

Five efforts four on target yesterday says McBurnie was getting in the right areas how many shots on target from the whole team? ....................... six was it ? None of them were much more than half chances apart from the one he made for himself which was kicked off the line.
Haters are gunna hate, probably boo him if he does score. Pathetic support.

He could’ve shot on his left. More chance of it going in.

PH on McBurnie

"He was vomiting the other night. I thought 'this is sod's law' because I knew I was going to put him in the starting eleven. But he came through it and he wanted to play. That tells you something and it was great to see."

He's either lying to defend his performance or telling truth and if it is true and he's not 100%, why not play Jebbison who's not ill

As Hecky says Jebbison is learning our system in training and still getting up to the speed of Championship level football, his time will come. Maybe tomorrow night.

Mc Burnie, He cost god knows how much, he' s been here god knows how long, on a wage of heaven knows what.
So just one question -
Is there anyone out there (McBernie aside) who thinks that so far he's been worth the money we paid, and are still paying him ?

McBurnie was never worth £20m, but that's the going rate of a top level Championship striker in today's market. All of Wilder's big budget signings were not worth half of what we paid for them.

The same could be said for Gibbs-White, I reckon they'd want at least £20m for a permanent deal and he can't even get in the Wolves side. Liverpool ripped us off with Brewster, but I suppose Brewster has the most potential of all our signings and still has potential to repay some of that value back (if he can stay fit in the future).

Back to McBurnie, I don't think he's a bad player. The first season, he was our joint top scorer with Mousset (6 goals) and I thought he played a part in the success of the first Premier League season. Maybe not in terms of goal returns, but I don't think he looked out of place in that successful side. Held the line well up front I thought.

Yes he's had his issues off the pitch, he seems to lack a bit of discipline and that's simply not good enough. But I bet if he went somewhere else, and he was the main number 9, he would start scoring goals at this level. He's only started 4 games this season, and over his time here, he's been a substitute for around half of his appearances. Perhaps that's based on his performances for us, and some have been poor, but if we're judging him on last season entirely, then we would sack the entire squad for that.

He's never going to get 20+ a season when he's only getting 10/15 mins off the bench every now and then. I don't think he's a Premier League standard player, but he's good enough for our level. I think if he plays as the main number 9, and the team plays a more direct game to suit his style, he will score goals.
