I’m sure he’d get a lovely, welcoming applause from our fans when we play Middlesbrough if he’s does join them!

Made no impact in his latter days for us. Seems like he has had little impact for Rangers. Why would Wilder want him?

No work ethic
Doesn't track back or close down defensively
Doesn't offer any creativity going forward

The definition of ineffective. Pull your finger out lad, learn to graft.

Can't understand Chris Wilder's love affair with him, just goes to show how badly Chris lost the plot when we were losing every week last season if he's looking to bring back one of, if not THE worst performer last season. Maybe Lundstram knows something about him that he can blackmail Wilder with!?

Lundstram's career peaked against Burnley at home just over 2 years ago. He thought he'd have it easy in Scotland but even in a good side vs crap opposition, he still can't nail down a place which sums him up. Lazy sod with a crap attitude, who'll regret it in 10 years time when he's waving and pointing in the Northern Counties league and still offering nothing other than harking back to the lads about the 3 months where he actually looked a decent Premier League footballer.

More fool Wilder and more fool Middlesbrough.

Lundstram first season up had a good knack of timing runs into the area.
He also is a reasonable size unit in the middle and can cover alot of ground (When he wants too) and can be a box to box midfielder.
He suited the system quite well, and got a name for himself because he was a defender in Fantasy league and with out good defensive record and that he scored 5 or so goals and some assists ended up high in the charts.

I actually think he did keep trying last season when he was playing, but always had an eye on moving on. As much as you can be fully committed I can't help but feel you'd play not wanting to pick up any injuries and thus you can't be as fully committed.

But I have never thought he was a top quality player, I think in the right setup he could do well at champ level, and maybe get a good goal scoring record again.
But I never felt he was a big cog in our setup, nor lost sleep when he left.

Slightly surprised Wilder would be in for him given the contract situations last season, but then he might fit the purpose in his Boro team.

Could be my first ever ITK info this:

If he ends up at Boro then it proves that Wilder needs to see a psychiatrist or go to the police to report blackmail.

Ahem

“He’ll be out on loan before the season ends IMO. “

You know what. He'd actually fit in well for us this season.

We lack energy and a decent tackle in midfield.

I feel dirty just saying that, but it's true.
I agree with you, I think a big part of this is down to how the individual thinks, some players make more of their ability, carve out a successful career while others that might be more gifted or skilled, fall away and only realise when it's too late what they missed or what they might have achieved.
Plenty of examples to choose from, and suspect its the same at a number of clubs.

The thing with form and performance levels is that you can't just turn them on like a tap.

After phoning it in for the best part of a year, there's no surprise he continues to contribute in his new jersey like the unflushed turd he was in his last one.

No wonder the Rangers fans, who've had their fair share of bullshitters and schysters (hello Charles), didn't warm to his winy looking Easter Island face.

Arguably the rot set in all around Lundstram. First when Berge came in and never really got going, but got picked anyway and secondly when Chris didn't hear the alarm bells of Lundstram massively overstating his standing.

Having seen him in training for 2 years, if Chris had binned him that Jan or at least been more active to move him on in the summer, he could have fixed the midfield which was perennially broken.

Amazed he thinks he's the solution for Boro, if it isn't paper talk.

A decent tackle maybe Matt, but I just can't see where he solves our lack of energy?

I think with MGW back in the side alongside Ndiaye, I believe to some degree we now do look more positive on the attack. Amongst other things, one of the issues with Lunny was that he had a habit of stopping our attacks, turning around and passing it backwards

Not for me and I just cannot for the life of see how he would get in a team that has Bogle down the right, with MGW and Ndiaye alongside

Really? Boro deserved something from the BR game Monday, and JL will help them immeasurably going forward, though it pains me to think it.

Wilder is doing well there, in a terrible championship, he knows the requirements and the personnel needed. Wilder Mark 2 is a man on a mission, there's no sentiment, no blackmail, he'll be very careful not to take any gambles whatsoever after the fiasco here. Better the devil you know.

'and JL will help them immeasurably going forward...'

Are you JL's Mum? In what world will that lazy piece of horse shit help Boro in any sense nevermind an attacking one? Has the passing of half a season dulled the memories of some who has to ensure his pitiful attempts on the pitch which ended up being a damned disgrace with a total lack of effort? Can't remember? Watch the 'highlights' of the Palace and Southampton defeats from last season at the Lane and tell me he's trying his best in a Blades shirt.

I'll laugh if he goes there, as it will be another decent wage spent by a potential rival on a load of shit. Thankfully he's no longer out problem, and I'd be gutted if he ever ends up back in a Blades shirt. Good riddance.

Great quote from McCoist, paraphrasing....its a completely different system, hes gone from a team who had very little of the ball to one that has it all the time....so interpreting that, Lundstam is a good footballer so long as he doesnt have ro use a ball...sums him up pretty well!!!

Is the link just the same as the Sessegnon link to us because of Slav? Sounds like bollocks to me.

He might help them in the system they play if he did sign. Not sure either though.

Wilder is doing well there, but why would anyone be surprised?
Yeah we were not really the same post project restart under Wilder, yep the signings we made summer 2020 did not prove to help us.
Had he not fallen out with the board/Prince and was still here he would have got us going again this season too I feel.
But 18months ago we wouldn't have wanted anyone else as manager and I don't just mean because of the connection, we were doing and playing well after successive seasons of progress and promotions.
