Has anything been said officially on why the following weren’t in yesterday’s squad?

Baldock
Davies
Fleck
McBurnie
Mousset

Baldock - looking at RightMove for Teeside
Davies - Compassionate
Fleck - Struggling with his Dr Jimmy/Mr Johnny split personalities
McBurnie - down West Street kicking off with students
Mousset - masturbating and eating pizza

Had COVID, became ill, lost loads of weight. Needs building back up

Most of what you say I agree with, but masterbating and eating pizza ? NO ! Too close to messy canabalism

Davies out for tomorrow “Covid” load of shit in my opinion. So that means we will have to watch Jack Robinson again tomorrow. Recruitment team have got their fingers up there arse, 17days in and still no defensive signing. Clubs a mess

Cant the prince pull a few strings and transfer them to

Beerschot

Mcburnie is filming STAR WARS ORIGINS isnt he??........20220117_194223.jpg20220117_194239.jpgplaying a young Obi-Wan......., might aswell, hes not playing fucking football!!

If there not fit then why are they not being made to get fit, it’s their job!!

Few on twitter saying his wife has been diagnosed with terminal cancer.Awful news if true.

From what I have read this is true but she was diagnosed some time ago, he may even have known when they got together. Still incredibly sad but not a reason for him to be absent now unless she has had a relapse (hopefully not).

Surely some compassion is in order here. If the rumours are true then whether she was diagnosed last month or years ago, clearly something serious is going on. Being able to be around and support her during whatever is happening is more than enough reason for him to miss a few football games.

With McBurnie and Mousset the issue I think is more of a shit attitude.

Neither are fit. Both seem to be constantly getting in trouble or acting the cunt. Both seem to love the extravagant lifestyle their salary brings them and neither of them seem to be arsed about lifting a leg to earn it.

Sadly whilst they are the club, they’ll be a drain on wages and a toxic influence with in the team, best we can hope for from either of them is a career ending injury and to get some money back on the insurance

Not on the Grass? That will help with his munchies problem

Well if it's terminal it's only ever going one way eventually.
Doesn't take much to read between the lines and suspect something has happened family wise for his absences.

McBurnies seems to be totally Mia I must say though. Moussett we know isn't that fit and Fleck had his health scare too.
Baldock is close I think to returning.

Our transfer window signings from the summer break down as follows:

Olsen - much poorer than his reputation suggested and about to be shipped out. Was injured at one point
Davies - less good than hoped, a combination of injury, Covid and possible compassionate leave have seen him miss games
Guedioura - played 10 minutes in the league. Injured almost from day 1
MGW - outstanding for this level, been injured for 4 weeks.
Hourihane - not injured but has been very disappointing on the whole.

That's bad luck mixed in with some bad recruitment.

The only one I'd like us to retain in the summer is MGW and there's fat chance of that. Short term signings and poor ones (with exception of MGW) as they have hardly been great value for money. The majority have played like they were only here for the short term anyway and it's shown.

Connor Hourihane being the prime example. Played like he hasn't been bothered when he should have been breaking his neck to try to impress to win a full permanent contract this summer, and has gone through the motions appearing to try and not get injured. All the while whining on about the footballing love of his life Aston Villa and why he's gutted he's not there. Hardly showing his heart is in things is it. He'd should be out the door come May, along with a few good others.

He can all the time off in the world for me , some things are much bigger than football.

Davies was pictured in training last week so quite believable he has now got covid if we have it in the squad

The problem with MGW being injured is that the tactic we've employed of 'Give it to MGW and hope he does something good' doesn't work without him.

We'll struggle until he's back or until we sign someone else with a slightly creative bone in their body. Ndiaye could do it but is very hit and miss.

Absolutely. My reply was purely to inform the previous poster that it wasn’t a new diagnosis and hence that in isolation wouldn’t explain his absence but if it is in any way related to his girlfriend’s illness he should take as much time off as he needs.

Oh well. Looks like the the golden robot gets another start. Wonder what self-face-punching fuckup he makes this week or if he brings down Foderingham taking a goal kick.

I genuinely feel sorry for him. He's in an ever decreasing spiral of diminishing self-confidence, and that affects our performance.

Takes down foderingham….

😂

Cheered me up that one
